and not on espn classic either, I am talking about either on tv or in person, when it was auctually happening
I would have to say cubs v/s houston: wood v/s reynolds
it was kerry's rookie year, it was in chicago and wood have like 20 K's and reynold had like 10+ it was a awesome array of pitching.

It was a couple of years ago.
Clemens vs. Pedro at Yankees stadium.
Red Sox won on a Daubach HR.
I think that game ended 1-0 and the Yankees only had like 3 hits.
Very good pitching by both players.

Houston Astros vs Pittsburgh Pirates
The game was sold out because the NAACP Convention was in Pittsburgh that weekend and they held a special ceremony for Jackie Robinson during the game. It was the first non-opening day sellout in 20 years.
Name IP H R ER BB SO
Chris Holt 7.2 5 0 0 1 1
Billy Wagner 1.1 0 0 0 0 4
John Hudek 0.2 1 3 3 2 1
Name IP H R ER BB SO
Francisco Cordova 9.0 0 0 0 2 10
Ricardo Rincon 1.0 0 0 0 1 1
It wasn't a HUGE matchup of pitchers but both starters pitched their asses off. Cordova got yanked after 9 hitless innings and Rincon came in and didn't give up a hit in the 10th. Mark Smith then came up for the Pirates in the bottom of the 10th and completely JACKED a 3-run HR. It was one of those shots that you knew was gone after he hit the ball. Probably overall the best baseball game I've ever watched... that and Game 7 of the 2001 World Series.

was bonds and bonilla still playing with the bucs that year, I remember bonds couldn't hit water if he fell out a boat, during the playoffs.

Yes, that was Bobby's last year with the Pirates and I believe Barry's last year was '92 so we lost 2 great players pretty much around the same time.

sound like the marlins after they won the WS, a little. It was a good move for Barry, well I guess bobby too. as neither one of those scrubs cold hit in the playoffs for the bucs and i liked both of them. The Bucs have always hada place in my hearts, because as a kid my favorite player on the team was POPS and dave parker.
