I bought this 2006 bowman sterling rudi johnson gu auto at a cardshop and as you can see they said the bv was $50 but on beckett I saw that it was $40. This makes me mad because I already felt like I overpaidand then it wasnt even what I paid for. Can someone check behind me to see if it does have a $50 bv. If I did get ripped sould I take it back?

here are BV's...i just checked online:
normal version--20
refractor version--20
black refractor version--40
red refractor version--N/A

it looks like the normal version, so only 20...i would take it back in that case.

I don't mean to be rude, but if this is the case... why did you buy it in the first place???

Also, in my opinion book values mean next to nothing on cards. A card is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Do not collect cards based on how good of a deal you are getting compared to a card's book value, collect cards because you want them. You paid $40 for this card. If the card wasn't worth $40 to you, you shouldn't have bought it. And if you truely had wanted the card, the price you paid compared to the bv would mean nothing to you....

I doubt the guy does anything about it. Even if he "lied", knowingly or unknowingly, you should've checked the bv before buying it.

Sorry about you bad experience. I have had that done to me before. Now, I always check the price guide before I purchase anything. Alot of people aren't very trustworthy when it comes to $. I have done some nice trades, buying, and selling on here, though!!

Ok first of all. I REALLY liked the card but jut felt like the guy was asking a little much thats all. It had nothing to do with trying to make a deal. eExt:
I went back today and showed him the problem and he gave me a 2001 donruss elite T.J Housmandzadeh rc auto die cut #d to 500 and let me keep the original which to me fully paid back for the money lost. I was glad he wasnt a jerk about it.

It would take something nice to get it from me but I would trade for a tomlinson card preferably an auto or patch or a nice barry sanders. Will look at anything that has a bv you think fitting.
