I only picked an Eagle because of your love of the city of Brotherly love.

Jim Taylor cards do very well online and are quite reasonable. Theres also some people who like Joe Theisman, Chris Carter, Terrell Davis Amongst a few others.

I would look into Marcus Allen a HOFer that has a lot of resonable stuff out there. Fred Bilitnikof or Defensive player should go well. Study who were some of the studs back in the day and look to pick up some stuff because most people don't know. Hardy Brown of the Niners used to KNOCK people out and break helmets religiously once a week on Sundays). He was a LB in the 50's

Dickerson, Dorsett, Campbell, Sayers, Craig, Csonka, Franco Harris....all great RBs....all pretty affordable.

Bo Jackson is fun to collect and does very well as far as singles go. Seems to a collector lure to him

Cris Carter is also nice (great Vikings receiver and wouldnt mind an auto from him myself)

Herman Moore (former Lions wideout) is another one of those underrated receivers in football history who put up good numbers and can be had relatively cheap

Steve Largeant Seahawks WR Legend

Warren Moon Oilers QB recently inducted into the HOF

Deion Sanders same collector lure as Bo

Stanley Morgan Awesome former Pats reciever was a member of "Grogan's Heroes"......very very underrated player in the hobby

Lenny Moore former standout Colts RB now in the HOF

Fran Tarkenton Vikings QB who is on everyones short list of greatest QBs of all time

Thurman Thomas Terrific RB from Bills who came out in the same draft as Barry Sanders from the same college (Oklahoma)

Chris Warren another one of those very good RBs from the seahwaks who sort of got forgotten about thru time, very good player

**** Butkus reasonably afordable autos from him, considered one of the best defensive players ever and part of the "Monsters of Midway"

Deacon Jones revolutionized the way defense was played a phenomenal sack machine and Rams legend

Andre Triplett a monster Patriot LBer that never got the recognition he fully deserved not sure if there is alot of stuff out there of him as far as autos go but he was nearly as good as LT in his hay day.

Hope this list gives you a few modestly priced legends/HOFers to collect and check into

Dillon46 -

Stanley Morgan is "very very underrated" for a reason...he sucked

Andre "Triplett" will be hard to find...maybe Andre Tippett will be easier..."nearly as good as LT in his hay day"?...you've gotta be a die hard Pats fan with quotes like that!

and last but not least...Thurman Thomas went to the same college as Barry Sanders, but was drafted a full year earlier (1988 2nd round)...thus enabling the greatest RB of all time to smash every college rushing record!

just picking on you...no love lost! :new_silly

My Bad on Thurman........I thought they both came out 89 but thats my mistake.....Sanders did run him out of college much the same Maroney did to Marion Barber......

Andre Triplett was nasty buddy, LT was the best but Triplett got overshadowed by the raw star power that LT bought. Thats why i said nearly...... LT revolutionized how mobile a LBer could be so he is the best in his era but Triplett just was never recognized for his sheer talent

Morgan was sick..........period. The dude is on nearly every top ten statistical category in WR history. Granted Ive often thought what the Pats could be if they drafted Rice instead of him but make no mistake he was awesome.

Why dont you fess up on who youre team is ;)

And damn skippy im a die hard Pats fan!!!!!!!!!

Being a Raider fan I have to add Tim Brown

I thoroughly agree Tim Brown wasnt flashy or a marketable talent but he was and is one of the best WR ever......
