Can anybody tell me what happens when you submit a paypal claim? Do they just refund your money, since the seller has not made any attempt at communication?

I waited 3 weeks for my cards to arrive, sent multiple emails, requested info from ebay & made several phone calls, but no response at all!!! opened paypal claim & have waited a week, still no contact. I want my money back now, but not sure what happens after you escalate the claim!

escalate the claim it will take like 7 days and then if the other person still doesn't contact u then u will get your money back

Yeah it sounds like you'll pretty much get your money back. I've had a few experiences back, and in all of those instances I got my money back -- typically the seller knows he'll lose out if he hasn't replied to email.

I just ran into the same situation. After you submit a dispute, they give you so many days to settle it. then you have to escalate it to a claim or cancel the dispute. After it's escalated, the seller has 10 days to post a reply. If he doesn't you win by default. BUT if there are no funds in his account, you may not recover. I do understand once a claim is filed, there is a freeze on his account.
