I just saw this article on Yahoo:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070729/ap_on_sp_fo_ne/fbn_vick_upper_deck
It appears that Upper Deck has removed Mike Vick from their sets starting with all the products that are to be released in October.
Personally, I am glad. The guy just signed a huge contract and because of a sick past time he has also lost his contract with Nike and Reebok. I am a huge Football fan, it's my favorite sport but more importantly, I am a huge dog lover. I have 2 myself, a German Sheppard and a Rottweiler. The are the greatest pets in the world and not a mean bone in either of them. I am able to walk both of them without a leash because they stay at my side and will not go after a running cat or other dogs. When I am home I let them out in my front yard (which is not fenced in) and go about my business in my house. Everyone in my neighborhood know of them and feel extremely comfortable coming up to them to pet and play with them. They are both super playful with little kids and very protective of my wife.
I have always personally believed that you can take ANY dog, any breed and raise them in the way in which YOU want them to act. Be it playful, protective, a security dog or a vicious attack dog. ANY DOG can be trained to act a certain way. I have never used a professional trainer, I just took the time and taught them myself. I cannot imagine what my like would be without them.
My wife and I are expecting our first baby in September. People have asked me if I have any concerns with the bogs and I do not. If I know my dogs, they will want to sleep on the floor in front of the crib to protect him.
Well guys and gals, I just wanted to put my two cents in about this whole Vick Saga. Personally, I say screw him! He's not that great of a QB to big with. A great rusher but not a great QB. And no matter how much time he would have gotten on the field, I really do not think he would go down in NFL history as one of the greats. Now with Joey Harrington behind center, the Falcons season is over before it even begins.
Feel free to post replies, I would love to see what everyone else thinks.
I look forward to hearing from all of you,
Be well,
