Who would you take if you were building a team? In terms of a young superstar?

- Wade Miller
- Eric Hinske
- Joe Crede
- Ty Wigginton
- Orlando Hudson
- Mark Bhurle (or whatever)

Austin Kearns. He's a great young talent on the Reds. I watched almost every reds game last year, and this kid can be great. Him and Adam Dunn will be great together for a long time

Watch out for my man in the shadows christian Guzman and jacque jones will become the new ricky henderson except for the stolen bases, he will hit 30-40 homers from the lead off spot they will start a lot of games off 1-0. I asked him why he doesn't walk a lot, he said you ever seen someone on sportscenter drawing a walk.

Ty "Wiggy" Wiggington has a lot to prove... so I think he could surprise all of us. Being the Mets fan I am... I gotta go with him.

How about some Canadian love? When I was in Toronto over the summer at my cousins house I couldn;t believe how many good prospects there were

- Orlando Hudson
- Josh Phelps
- Woodward
- Hinske
Add Delgado and Halladay

Just a few more arms and maybe two more years and you got a contender!

Soriano plays like a vet. He's a yankee of course he's going to be awesome. That's why I left him out.

If he's a vet, why did he make so many errors last season?

I would go with either Austin Kearns or Vernon Wells as hitters to build my team around. Also, as for pitchers, I would go with either Mark Prior or Roy Oswalt.

Vernon Wells....

Guy is a five tool player. Why not build your team around a great centerfielder?

Jose Reyes and Josh Barfield

this is unbelievable.
The last post was on March 7th and someone somehow found this thread.

anyway, it has to be either Teixeira or Blalock.

I believe it's got to be Mark Prior. I think Fox did a similar poll a few weeks ago & it was Prior over Willis, Webb, A-Rod and Soriano I think.

The other three have yet to prove themselves, but Prior over A-ROD? I'm not sure I'd agree with that.

khalil greene and jeremy reed. Those are my two.

I'd take Arod if his contract weren't so large. Yes, he may be worth it, and yes, it wasn't his fault he was offered such a large amount of money, but anytime you wrap that much money up in one player it kind of scares me.

True, but I don't believe the poll factored in the amount of salary. It's really not fair to compare prospects (ie Prior, Willis, Webb) making a million or so a year to superstars like Bonds or Sosa or AROD making 18 million a year. Of course the prospect will seem like the better bargain.
