I just traded:
Nomar, Todd Walker, and Paul Bryd
for
Tim Hudson, and Jeff Kent.
I already have Jeter to play SS so that's why I dealt Nomar. It that a good trade? Walker was my only 2B.

I think you could have got more for Nomar being one of the best SS and Walker being one of the best 2B's. Paul Byrd for Tim Hudson is a push, but I think you got screwed!

Walker as one of the best 2B??? Its Todd Walker not Larry (he plays OF anyways).
Walker: 11 HR, .299 AVG, .431 SLG, .353 OBP, 64 RBI
Kent: 37 HR, .313 AVG, .565 SLG, .368, 108 RBI
Kent led the MLB's last year in HRs by 2B.
Kent is also moving to Houston where he has a dangerous lineup with him (Biggio, Bagwell etc...)
I think Paul Bryd had a fluke year last year and hopefully won't pitch as well with the Braves.

Todd Walker is one of the best 2B's as far as fantasy points go. Sure he's no Soriano, but there's few that get more points than Walker. About the only good point is I'm sure (at least I hope you did) drafted Walker late in the draft. Kent's not going to be pitched to like he was in San Fran. He doesn't have Barry anymore so don't expect him to put up those numbers again. He'll do good, but not those kind of numbers. Yeah, Byrd probably was a fluke so getting Hudson was probably better, but I still say you gave up too much for Kent. But he fits in your team well, so maybe it wasn't so bad.

Wow everyone thinks I got screwed...great then I prolly did. I was looking at last years stats mostly and saw Walker's rank as 200+ and I saw his numbers didn't even compare to Kents so I figurered I'll deal him. That gives me a open spot to experiment. I always like to have an extra exerimental slot like for rookies or potential breakouts??? Who would you pick up?? Crede? Millar?

Just hold off to see what rookie gets PT right away and has a hot start... just don't wait too long to pick him up or he'll be gone.

Crede and Millar are gone now, they were there when I traded. I picked up Kearns instead. He has a starting position doesn't he?
