Today I received a lot of cards purchased on Ebay. I could smell the smoke the minute I picked up the box.
They absolutely reek.

Has anyone had any luck getting the smoke smell out of cards?

I dont think you can get that smell out of ANYTHING!!!!!

That reminds me I need to start adding 'comes from smoke free home' to my auctions.

Not sure you can get it out man. I totally agree the smell stinks.

Never Had one single card that smells like smoke lol, i'm pretty lucky there, i'd ask for a refund.

I have received a Few items like that as well from Ebay. I smoke myself , but never around my Cards/Wife or Children.

When I used to smoke I also kept my cards in a room that was not smoked in and never had any trouble (as far as I know). At any rate, I have been told by others who have had this problem to take a dryer sheet and take the card(s) and put them all together in a box or something for a few days...yeah...I suppose your cards may smell "flowery" but at least they won't smell like smoke lol.

I bought a sealed box of hockey cards from a shop once where the owner and his wife were chain smokers. The cards inside smelled terrible. I left the cards sitting out for a while and the smell eventually went away. I would think if you could set your cards out side where they could get some fresh air and a little wind (not so much that the fly away) that would help too. Also make sure it's not too humid if you choose to use an outdoor method.
