What is the best format to get rid of a lot of base and lower end inserts? I have tried multiple post to no luck. I have tried a "name your player" sell and that tanked. Actually never took off! I am trying to clear out some space as I only collect 3 players. I want to sell everything else I have so that I can buy what I need to finish my player collections. Please any help at all on this matter will come with reward.

200 is probably not realistic, assuming everything minus the base/inserts are in your bucket

and halloween is a few weeks away....remember someone on here handing them out to kids in addition to candy....pretty cool idea to dump some stuff

well as for the bucket. i need to redo that. those are not even close to what i have.

as for the hospitals and all of that. there is no place in my area. and the other places only take unopened materials.

Hey you guys, Id like to fill you in on a little secret of mine... We have a member here at SCF named 'Star Cards' he has an ebay store, and frequents the site with a list... The list consists of pretty much anyone whos anyone... and what hes willing to pay for them. Its not a huge amount, for each card... but when you fill up a 2 row shoebox of star cards you get upwards $100 he pays instantly with paypal, and splits the shipping as well... Ive copied and saved his list i pasted it in before, however the list is outdated and probably doesnt reflect current prices... For the most part its just to give you an example...

• Cards must be nrmint-mint condition.
• No multiple player cards such as dual player team leaders.
• Checklists are okay if the front is a full photo of player.
• Duplicates are not a problem
• Will split shipping costs if the lot is over 500 cards and double boxed.
• Lots around 1,000 to 2,000 cards will need to be shipped via the FREE USPS flat rate box.
You can fit 3 660 count boxes in one type and 4 550 count boxes in the other.
These boxes are $8.20 no matter the weight.

Just saw your ripken for sale lot. Even though you have three rookies in the lot the realistic sale value is probably only $50-60 max. Like someone else said, you need to be realistic about current prices.

actually pitched them last night. i went on a rampage of cleaning and threw away nearly 3000 cards. havent decided if i want to start up again or stay out for good yet.

There's a method that's sure fire!!

Besides pitching...I'll tell you it takes ALOT of patience, and using many methods.
Like searching, searching for College collectors, regional collectors, team collectors, etc. almost all players fit someones collecting theme. Then listing, and posting your cards using proper key words.

In the end, the reward may not be worth the time spent sorting your cards, but you can move the cards.

Hope you don't stay away from this hobby as it can be rewarding, especially if a collecting theme can be decided upon.

about the only way to gather all the cards i need is to fly to atlanta and check out every hobby shop in the area in hopes they have the remaining avery cards to finish my collection.
