What I really can't believe are the people paying as much as they are. I guess that old saying is right...there is a sucker born everyday.

Sony is on it's way out anyway...as far as gaming is concerned. They can't compete with Microsoft. Their game selection is horrible to boot.

There are 2 types buying the PS3....the gullable ones and the die hard loyalists.

Sony is fine...the only reason Sonys #s are down is because they havent put out a new system to compete with 360 yet...PS3 will even everything out, and Sony will be fine.

And as for that halfwitted "xbox fan" comment....I've owned my PS2 for atleast the past 5 years (and Playstation for years before that). The biggest issue I had with Sony was it's lack of game selection. I just bought my first Microsoft system (360) 4 days ago. After doing the proper amount of research (try it), I came to the conclusion that Xbox offers the best game selection compared to the other 2 (Sony, Nintendo).

A small sample of game that are either highly rated or highly anticipated by gamers.....How many of these are available on PS3? 1? Maybe 2. Research it and get back to me.

So, am I an Xbox fan? I am now. After having wasted my time and money on Sony products...I'm now convinced that Microsoft will have Sony buried within 5 years. Their already struggling to hang on.

Have fun tracking down a PS3 for less than a grand. lol

Personally, after years of being a Sony fan...I must say that they've definately turned me away. Not that 360 is flawless either (the system gets WAY too hot during gameplay)...but I am about 'game selection' (as if it weren't abundantly clear already lol). I can honestly say, after tons of reading, researching and more reading....360 gets my vote in that area. You should see my Xmas list and ,my B-Day list for next Aug. ! lol I'm already driving my wife nuts :)

only thing is ive had 3 xbox`s and 2 have broke down microsoft has a problem building quality stuff seems like...

I had the very same decision a mere 4-5 days ago....Stay true to my Sony roots and wait for PS3 (and overpay) or go ahead and break with tradition and buy a 360.

Being the stickler for research that I am (I don't buy into hype)...I began reading, digging, asking questions...talking to my 16 yr old nephew and most of hos friends (Sony and Microsoft fans alike)...

Realizing that (after PS3, 360 and Wii) a new system wouldn't be out for atleast another 5 years...It came down to one defining question....

Which platform would supply my ganing needs the best for the next 5 years?

Every which way I cut it, the answer was Xbox. So that's what I went with. Was I right? Again...Only time will tell.

You know of course that the competition pays for these studies, right? Sony isn't going to die a slow painful death. I know that Microsoft has a kizillion dollars to play with. Gates is a power hungry monger. He is like a little kid with the most toys but yet still wants yours. He has issues.

Of course you never buy first generation, too many bugs in the system. Let all the suckers buy it, not me. Besides, I can't afford it. If I want to spend $600 on something it will be a new Surf Board or a Dual Sliding compound miter saw. Now those to me are worth every cent.
