Rick's Hot and Not so Hot Top 5 list (these are just my opinions!)
Driver Hot List:
1. Denny Hamlin - A rookie with a season like this, lets see next season.
2. Jimmie Johnson - A come back to take over and he did it.
3. Tony Stewart - Goes to show what a past champion can do even when he is not in the chase.
4. Matt Kenseth - Consistant with getting it done, just fell a little short.
5. Kevin Harvick - Really based on his Busch run, now he just has to bring the wins to Cup.
Driver Not so Hot List:
1. Michael Waltrip - What a hard season for him, was DEI that big of a deal to him?
2. Kyle Bush - Got into the chase but had his share of wrecks, not his fault on many but bad run.
3. Robby Gordon - Thow what out of the car?
4. Jeff Burton - What did Robby thow out of the car, have a feeling Jeff should not be on this list but from 1st to 7th in points...
5. Brian Vickers - Not a bad season but I think the JJ/Dale Jr. thing lost him so fans.

Looking at the 2006 Standings they post the money for the drivers. I am sure Jimmie got a little more at the end but check this out:

I know with the chase it takes Tony out of the picture but....

Racing: started watching short track Saturday night racing in 1969, NASCAR in 1980something
Collecting cards in 1968, and NASCAR in 1995 (Had a few years off from the mid70's to 1990)

Oh so many to choose from... but I loved the inaugural Legends set, and am still trying to get the Sr. and Jr. Treads and Threads

All of them, but if I have to pick one: Charlotte.
Ever meet a driver? Tell the story (pick your favorite one):
Only at the short track we used to go to every Saturday night, met pretty much every driver that ran there between 1972-80. Nobody ever made it very big though.

1) 2001 Press Pass Signings Dale Earnhardt (bought a pack lot of Premium on e-Bay and pulled it out of 10 packs)
2) 2004 Press Pass Signings Dale Earnhardt Jr (Bought a retail box from one of Les's case breaks)

Any funny Racing story you have?:
Well I guess the best one I have that is family oriented would be the time my buddy asked me over to bis place to watch the race ( which right there should have warned me something was up as he is a die-hard hockey fan) When I got there his wife told me to go on out to the back deck as that's where everyone was, well when I walk out the door here is Cliff rubnningh a radio control car around the yard and getting his dogs to chase it. Tells me that " This has got to be just as interesteing as watching those guys on tv chasing each other around" Well we did watch the race, and I think he has a much better understanding of racing now that he spent an afternoon with me.
Best thing about trading:
All the great people I have met through card shopps and especially on the internet trading groups
Is there a card that you really want but just have never had?:
Of course many of the Dale Earnhardt memorabilia cards, but my "Holy Grail" would have to be
the 2000 Maxx Dale Earnhardt/Dale Jr. dual autograph card

Any funny Racing story you have?:
Well I guess the best one I have that is family oriented would be the time my buddy asked me over to bis place to watch the race ( which right there should have warned me something was up as he is a die-hard hockey fan) When I got there his wife told me to go on out to the back deck as that's where everyone was, well when I walk out the door here is Cliff rubnningh a radio control car around the yard and getting his dogs to chase it. Tells me that " This has got to be just as interesteing as watching those guys on tv chasing each other around" Well we did watch the race, and I think he has a much better understanding of racing now that he spent an afternoon with me.

All the great people I have met through card shopps and especially on the internet trading groups
Is there a card that you really want but just have never had?:
Of course many of the Dale Earnhardt memorabilia cards, but my "Holy Grail" would have to be
the 2000 Maxx Dale Earnhardt/Dale Jr. dual autograph card
