know to be outbid on an auction happens all the time, but to be outbid on an auction in the last minute by a member of your trading group is unacceptable. I have always operated in ebay that if there is a card that I or one of my daughters needed and somebody from our trading group had placed a bid on it, we would never outbid them and that the card out from under them. I have always practiced this unwritten rule.
Last night my daughter was outbid in the last minute on a Yeley Preview card. Granted this was the last preview card being offered and I could understand getting outbid. But when I seen who had outbid her I felt kind of violated. For I had seen this trader bid on a few of the Yeley previews and of course I opted to stand by the unwritten rule and not bid against them. I guess this is something that won't be followed in the future. Some of you know what is ment by deep pockets. It will be.
Thank you for allowing me to vent.

Mike,
I totally understand your frustration over not winning that card. It has happened to me many times. Sorry to hear that.

Did you at least contact the member to let them know of your frustration?? Otherwise they may continue the process...

I agree where your coming from Mike. Like, if I see a Sorenson I need, and Dave has the high bid, I'll stay away from it, or if I see a Jimmie, and Don has the high bid, I'll let it go...I just feel that I wouldn't want to be outbid by someone I trade with, so I wouldn't do that to anyone, either.

Mike,
I completely understand what you're saying and I'm not arguing that there isn't unwritten rules and ettique when it comes to ebay BUT, there are only five of each of those previews out there. And I'm sorry, but if you don't win an auction, it's because you didn't bid enough. It's as simple as that. I think the best way to deal with something like this is to contact the person directly rather than just post something and hope they find the post. If you're PMing them as well, then sorry I brought that up.
And Jeremy, you bid me up on a 03 PP Auto of Jimmie Johnson a while back when i was the high bidder when you knew I was making the set.

I try real hard not to bid against forum members.
But I do have a "sniper" program and sometimes I load in auctions with last minute bids then just let it run. I look to see if there are any bids at the time but if somebody bids later I probably won't know until it's to late.

Your right, I did. I wouldn't do something like that now, but back then, I wasn't exactly the smartest, and best trader around. I like to think I've changed most of my bad habits around at this point.

Understand the frustration on losing out an auction. Some people really could give a flying flip though about any one else but themselves.
