Hi everybody,
We just had to put our dog down today. This is due to medical problems. She was a beloved pet for six years.
My kids already want another animal to replace her. I guess that is a good thing.

Losing a pet is like losing a part of the family.
We were heart broken when we lost our 1st Lakie
We adopted another three days later
ET didn't make us forget Annie but helped us feel better
Sorry for your loss

We know what you are going through Michael and am very sorry for your loss. To lose them when so young makes it even harder.
We put our Black Lab downyears ago. She had severly dislocated her front shoulder and you could see that the life was gone from her eyes. To go from very active to not wanting to get up. Hardest thing we had to do.
For three years my wife would always find fault in any dog we would get untill we got Tia, our first Boston Terrier. Tia turned into strickly Portlands dog. We still believe to this day that Tia is our Lab (lady) reincarnated. She behaves just like her.
You'll always cherish the moments you all shared with them.

Pets are special to all of us....My wife's cat is 13 or 14 years old and can barely see...we are careful not to move furniture and just want her to live out her days on her own but I sadly know that any day will be her last and I do not look forward to that day at all... Sorry to hear of your loss, just take time to remember the good times...

Hi Michael,
That makes me so sad for you guys....my tabby cat is eleven years old and means the world to me. He picked me when I was walking into Wal-Mart and I hate to think maybe I would be without him one day. I know another dog will pick your family to love. You will always have great memories to share with each other too...

Michael,
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Sometimes I think it's harder as you get older being more attached, younger children often bounce back quicker, even though they are sad.
I can't even think of what our lives would be like without our Annie. She is a very special member of our family for the past 10 years, and even more so because she represents our wedding anniversary (born on our 15th anniversary).
In time, you will heal, but you won't forget your pet that was a family member. Sorry for your loss.
