I'm hoping he makes it in!

I hope he doesn't. I'd rather see someone who can actually compete. Don't mean to be mean, but there's a wealth of talented drivers and teams headed to Daytona in February. Guys like Morgan Shepherd and James Hylton, though good drivers in their time, need to know when to walk away.

Got to give him credit for trying - but I think it is all for naught. Alex - I don't think you will have to worry about either of those guys in the field (no offense to them). There are going to be something like 50 teams running full time or close to it next year - not to mention the oodles of part-timers who will run the 500. If Hyltons ARCA season last year has anything to say about it - he won't make the field on speed (admittedly - those were his cars) but he was very much a back marker most of the season. I give him an early 'A' for effort - but agree - careers have to end sometime. He was supposed to be done after Iowa ARCA 06. Methinks this might be it for him. - Scott
