After thinking for many days about this I have decided to leave the Hobby.

I honestly just don't have the patience or really money to keep up with new sets of cards coming out every month. You might have noticed I haven't been on here for awhile, I just have become tired with the hobby and this is mainly due to the amount of cards coming out on a constant basis. Press Pass releases something every month just about and I just don't want to spend the money trying to play catch up getting every card I need.

My wife and I have a baby on the way and while I could still spend money in the hobby, it wouldn't be enough to keep up with everything I need.

I still have some sets I want to finish and some cards I really want before I retire from here. I also have a ton of cards I would like to work at getting rid of from years past that I don't need.

I will not be leaving right away as I need to take final inventories and post these to try to get rid of some of these cards so I will be here for awhile longer yet. I will trade for cards of my drivers I don't have or sell.

I am going to keep my Dale Jr. , Stewart, & Hamlin Collections but I think I will sell or trade my Truex Collection. I also will still be looking for cards I need for my autograph collection so I will be back on here from time to time but I am not going to continue buying new sets.

I want to thank everyone on here who has traded with me and made this such a fun part of my life for the last couple of years. Especially Les and Rick who have gone out of their way to help me at various times.

Like I said I will still be on here for at least the next few weeks. I am going to post all my traders again which will probably take some time getting those in order and I also have some 2007 Press Pass Traders to post as I bought a box. I figured this was a good time to stop and I kind of wish I hadn't used my Christmas $ to buy that last box.

Anyway look for my traders and I will also post a want list of cards I still need for sets or collections. The last set I am trying to complete I think will be the 2006 legends insert sets so everything after that I have is for trade as far as base and inserts. I have plenty of race-used still for trade as well as some autos. If I don't get rid of them here I will post them on ebay but I definitely should give you all 1st shot.

Please start watching for my posts hopefully starting this weekend.

Thanks again everyone for all your help over the last 2 years!!! This hobby has been a great stress reliever.

Well, I hate to see a valued trader walk away, I think we certainly must respect your decision. I ended up coming to the same decision as you. I buy once in a while, but rarely trade.

I agree about the products just about every month. Sometimes it's just too much to keep up with and not enough money to throw at it.

I hope you stick around for a while and chat and play contests.

Thanks Alex!

You have been a good fellow trader and I think I might follow your lead and at least stay on and commuincate plus I need to keep up with the arcade.

It really is ridculous the amount of new sets coming out but unfortunately they must be making alot of $ doing it this way so it won't stop. If they would scale back to a new set once every 2-3 months it would be so much better and easier to keep up with. I would think they would still be making the same money as traders would buy the same amount of cards, they would just be buying more of the same sets. I know this would never happen but just a thought.

Sorry to see you go Jami, but I do understand where your coming from. I was hot and heavy into collecting back in the early 90's in the other four sports. It got to be too much when they flooded the market. Got out in 94 and just got back into it in 2003. Then it was only racing. Like Alex said, hopefully you'll stay around for if only to chat and play the contest. But what ever you do we all wish you the best .
