Once everyone busts their box(es) of 2007 Press Pass Eclispe, could you please make a nice, orderly post showing what you got out of your boxes. Also, if possible, provide a scan of the best card you pulled? If you need help posting scans, PM anyone on the STC Racing team and we will try to help. Also please make sure to put how you felt about this product, quality of cards, pull ratios, looks, etc., good or bad post it and be honest.

When reviewing a product that you have personally opened, try to include....

**The name, brand, and year of the product
**Listed inserts and odds of pulling
**Number of packs per box and number of cards per pack
**Your assessment of how your actual pulls were versus how the odds say you should have pulled
**Also note if you were able to complete a base or insert set or how close you got to a complete set
**Your opinion of the quality of cards, quality of packaging, collation, etc, etc, anything a collector would be interested in before investing in this product

As usual, I liked the base cards. I received all of the Cup Rookie Cards. YEAH!
The Ecliptic and Hyperdrive cards are some of the neatest cards made.
I really liked the Skidmarks cards this year with the great picture of driver & car.
The UnderCover cards are pretty good also.
The Autograph cards are a very neat, clean card.

I think I pulled cards pretty close to the pull ratio for this release, However, I see that others have pulled alot better race-used ones. That's just my luck though.

eclipse always has the best inserts.
racing champions is always one of the best subsets
ecliptics are just plain cool
covers are the best idea to date (as far as covers are concerned) i love the die cut name
autographs are neat this year

hope i yank a four wide or teammates auto tomorrow so i can sell it to buy the reed/stremme/montoya autograph.

so far i give it a 5/5. eben if i don't pull anything spectacular tomorrow, it is still a great product. just wished they were a little less pricey.

I'll put my traders up under listings after I receive/open my next box (hopefully already in the mail). I thought this was a great set so I already have another box purchased.

here's my opinions:

base cards: I thought the base sets were well designed. The photos are great and the cards are nice and clean with nice card stock and I liked the wide assortment of photos and subjects for the subsets (NYC, Then and Now:thumb: , Scene, Pathfinder, Star Matrix, flight path, etc). I liked most of them but didn't think much of the Flight Path cards. I didn't think there was anything special about the #0 card. I think it could have been a little nicer and a better pic...didn't care for it.

Hyper Drive and Ecliptic: One of the best inserts I've seen! great cards!
Racing champions: I think this is one of the best ever inserts for the pull ratio. I love the unique die cut design and foil cards (i like shiny things). The photos on the ones I pulled were awesome.

Undercover: I liked them all of the three levels I received. I think the new style Under cover cards with the last name stenciled in the card bring a fresh and unique style to the undercover cards. Very cool indeed :appl:

Skidmarks: I like the landscape format better than the portrait format and love the whole design with the driver and car on the card. Press Pass did an outstanding job on these cards.

Autographs: I like the autograph card design...not too simple but not too cluttered either. The only thing I would do for autographs is put them on thicker card stock, but that's it.

The coallation of the packs in the box I bought was great (received only a few duplicates and came up short 1 card for the base set:thumbsdown: . pretty much hit the stated insert to pack ratios on the button, but did better on the 3 packs from the card shop by pulling 2 Under cover cards in 3 packs.

Overall, this set gets 5 out of 5 from me. I couldn't find hardly anything too criticize despite the cost of a box. I feel I got my money's worth for what you get in high quality cards. My only real disappointment was not making the complete base set (short 1 card). Of course, I would be happier if I received a Stewart autograph or one of the rarer cards, but we can't get lucky all the time.

Love it! The Hyper Drive and Ecliptic are really cool. The Skidmarks are the best ever! And I really dig the new Flight Path base card with the % on the card.

All in all, were not bad boxes even tho I would of rather got that jr signature cover... I am green with envy! WTG on that pull!
I like the heavy base and designs this year. New and refreshing pics. And the fact that most got full set from one box or real close.
The inserts had nice new looks too but I personally got too many dupes and no sets of them out of 6 boxes. Bit disappointing on that point. The pull ratio was close to right on , just too many insert dupes for a 4.5 of 5 stars for pull ratio.

Overall card quality was great! 4.5 of 5 stars for that. Loved the goodies I got and was pleasure opening boxes. Left you wanting to open more except for the price. But they loaded lots of goodies in most boxes and that is what we wanted so guess we have to pay for what we want.

Most I have will be up for sale on the bay soon except my keepers. Would only consider trades for Jr ones I may need.

Over all review:

Base Cards: Love the set, great job. Variations I am up in the air about, something else I have to watch for and collect now.
Hyper Drive Cards: Great Job, like the way they look.
Racing Champions Cards: Nice cards, good job on the. Like that they are standard size and then diecut.
Ecliptic Cards: Great Job, like the way they look.
Gold Cards: I like having a hard parallel set, I will not build it but just try to get the drivers I collect. Much better than a Gold, Silver, Retail etc...
Skidmarks Cards: Kinda the same old same old on them, ready for a change. Still a nice insert but thats about all I can say.
Skidmarks Holo Cards: Lets do away with them and try something else!
2007 Press Pass Autographs: Nice clean autograph cards, I like the set up.
Car Cover Cards: LOVE THEM, great change on the die cuts. If you are going to do a parallel then this is the way to do it. What a great looking card for the different levels. Great job!

I did not pull any dual covers or team autos so I really can not say much on them but would have loved to get one!

Over all I think it was a great job on Eclipse, very happy with the cards and the pulls I received. Beat the odds on one box, plus seeing hot boxes and big pulls was great! Way to go on this one Press Pass, I will give you a 5 out of 5 in my book!

Hello everyone. I decided to let you know what I got in my box. I must say this is the best box I ever opened and like how all the cards look-very cool indeed. I did get 40 miscut base cards and Les is trying to help me get it remedied. I got the usual inserts, a bunch of racing champions and Ecliptic cards including Kahne, Harvick and Hamlin. I also got a Dale Jr. Hyperderive card. I only got one skidmarks card and it wasn't holofoil, but at least it was a Jeff Gordon. As far as race-used I pulled: Teammates Autograph-Kahne,Riggs & Sadler 21/25; Rick Crawford Autograph; Dual car covers of Matt Kenseth (2 colors) & Carl Edwards DC5 79/99; Matt Kenseth car cover UCD4 52/270 and a Martin Truex Jr. car cover UCD10 260/450. I don't think I got any zero cards either but am really unsure because of all the miscuts I don't have the number on most of those cards. Sorry I am having problems attaching photos of the race-used cards but if you are really interested all of them are currently up for auction on Ebay except for the Gordon skidmarks, that one is in my personal collection, which can be seen by viewing my photobucket. The set was a great design, nice to get a set in a hobby box--about time this happened again!!! To get five good hits in a box is very good as well.
Ratios was close to perfect as it could get. Did I say that "a base set in a box" idea was good???

I give the set 5 out of 5 stars--excellent product!!!!

I bought 3 boxes of retail cards from Wal-Mart. And was pretty pleased with them. Out of 3 boxes I thought I`d complete my base set, didn`t still need 1 card. Kinda poor on the inserts also. Still need 3 of the 12 cards for the Ecliptic set, 6 of the 9 cards for my Hyperdrive set, and 9 of the 27 cards to finish my Racing Champions set. As far as good pulls I pulled a Jeff Gordon Skidmarks card and 2 Reed Sorenson Skidmarks cards. And my AWESOME pull was a Dale Earnhardt Jr. Press Pass Autograph!!! Can`t complain about that!! But I was disappointed not to complete a base set from 3 boxes of cards. And again the insert sets were a disappointment also. I like the card design, base cards are great, I like the thick card stock, I love the Ecliptic & Hyperdrive card designs. Racing Champions I thought were so so. So all in all I`d give this a 4.5 out of 5 on card stock and design and a 2 out of 5 on the pulls for not being able to complete a base set from 3 boxes. Make that a 3 out of 5 I did get the Jr. auto!!

I just got my 2nd box of Eclipse...Here's the lowdown again...

Since you don't mess with a streak (that's what the baseball players say anyway) I bought a 2007 Eclipse hobby box yesterday. Here's the breakdown:

Base cards: Complete set with 8 duplicates. One variant (5B Dale Earnhardt Jr. - TARGET logo).

Parallels: SM 14 Clint Bowyer Skidmarks #113/250

Inserts: Racing Champions 12, Ecliptic 4, Hyperdrive 2, Skidmarks 1 (+ the parallel)

Autographs: Kevin Harvick

Race Used: UCD 13 Under Cover Driver Jeff Gordon #d/450 one color (blue with stitching seam from removed patch/number). UCD 5 Under Cover NASCAR Kevin Harvick #d/270 two color grey/black.

This wasn't the best Eclipse box I've ever broken but it's also far from the worst. Nothing spectacular but this is the first Gordon UC I've pulled and the 1st Harvick two color NASCAR as well. Everything is available for trade except the Bowyer Skidmark. That's going in the set. No more reports for a while. The hobbys shops are depleted and so's my toy fund. Time to let both recover.:becky:
