cravenfan07 04-23-2007, 11:05 PM They listened (well - the sell sheet says they at least acknowledged they tried to listen!)! My goodness - if all those guys are in there I am going to be in heaven with this release! Rookie rookie cards of:
Allmendinger (1st in I have no card points)
Ambrose (2nd)
Leicht (3rd)
Huffman (4th)
Reutimann (got him - obscure card!)
And then - if that wasn't enough - rookie race-used of all these guys I want (not to mention the guys above!)!:
Almirola (9th)
Hornish (got him - obscure!)
Kinser (17th)
Rodney - I will fight you for them lol. This is the most pumped I've been for a release since I've been on the trading boards - can't wait! Thanks Les for all your work and help - you rock!
- Scott
Labontebrothersfan 04-23-2007, 11:54 PM Top Prospects 2.5 per half case - those are strange odds!
With my luck I'll pull the half card - LOL
The Battle Armor & Signings are pretty good lookin'
Boy they sure are playing up Montoya - you'd think he was the hottest rookie ever to hit NASCAR - but don't get me started.
outsk8u 04-24-2007, 12:15 AM My biggest concern being one that doesn't like to be lied to...did you notice ..they didn't PUT WHO WOULD BE IN THE SIG SERIES....that shows they haven't stepped up to the plate and changed their attitude toward the consumer...
plus it makes it impossible for me to keep a running count on how far off the sell sheet is from the release...
that said..
the cards look great...
the ideas they are using look great as well...
I miss the gloves...
but maybe they will be in the new Traks...
ajwest92 04-24-2007, 01:58 AM look at the first four names in the mach 07 list...Jr., Gordon, Stewart, and JPM...They are gonna be in the tough series like in prior years...UGH
At least they won't Sp the rookies in the hobby and the retail (fingers crossed).
If I get as lucky as I did last year in Stealth then I won't feel so bad about the $$$
SHLBYSALEN 04-24-2007, 07:54 AM Stephen Leicht yes, the next asheville racer to collect.
nadeau01_johnson48 04-24-2007, 10:07 AM Wow....Stealth actually has me excited about a release for the first time in a while! The Top Prospect set is awesome (IF it actually stays that way), and I love the look of the cards. Can't wait to get a few boxes!
timbart824 04-24-2007, 05:46 PM Will more than likely never see another Martin race-used...:-(

We may see some more of Martin's cards yet before he is completelly retired, lol... he still has a decent chance for future inserts due to his popularity.
But I'm wondering why the heck isn't the 2006 NNC 4th place season finisher & 2007 Daytona 500 Winner isn't in the insert or race used sets for Premium (not even the shorter printed base set cards either)??? Totally blows me away that they didn't do any of these cards for Harvick. Guess I should be thankfu that for this release, I'll only have about 9-10 cards to find and that I won't have to go searching for all of the higher $$$ r/u & auto cards, LOL
outsk8u 04-24-2007, 06:46 PM Maybe SUNOCO bought into Press Pass and will not allow him to be displayed...
but honestly it may be an issue with he and Press Pass...
jonsportscardz 04-24-2007, 06:58 PM Not bad at all cannot wait,I really like the Battle armor Cards!
selby56 04-24-2007, 08:11 PM Stephen Leicht yes, the next asheville racer to collect.
I hear ya! I'm so glad I can finally get a Stephen card!

Yeah, that is one consolation regarding Martin also, Les! :thumb:

realricrod 04-26-2007, 12:43 PM Chris,
I saw your post and I just happened to have dinner with Tom Farrell from Press Pass last night. I ask him about these problems with not listing some of the bigger items like this. The issue is not with Press Pass, they send the signature series cards to the drivers, the drivers have plenty of time to sign them and get them back to press pass. The problem is that some times they do not get the cards back in time to put in the product. This is what has happened in the past when they would hear people complain "but you said his auto card would be in there but its not". So to keep that from starting up the best way they can do it is TBA.
As far as keeping a running count on how far off the sell sheet is from the release you must keep in mind that it is a Tenative Sheet, remember that production is going on at the time the sheet is made so things can change. Remember that for NASCAR each team has to be approached everytime a product comes out to get them into that product. So there is much more work to get nascar products set up rather than other sports. That would be the reason that Press Pass is the only one left doing racing. Press Pass being in NC is a huge help for this because they really do have to go to the shops and get items approved.
After talking with Tom I understand much more about some of the items I have seen in the past that were questioned. I for one am thankful for Press Pass sticking with us race fans. I am going to start a post and try to cover some of the things I talked about with Tom today or tomorrow....
Hope this helps on some questions you had Chris. Also Tom is going to send me a PDF about some changes made to TRAKS this year, they way he talked it will be huge....

stewart20rulz 04-26-2007, 02:08 PM :appl: I'm usually not too excited about Stealth, but always buy some and trade up to build the base set and some of the insert sets. This year I really like what they've done with the updated look and different inserts. Press Pass did a good job on this one!
