6a dale jr dots on right top go white, gold, gold, white, white, white, white
same with the lower left dots
6b dale jr dots go gold, white, white, gold, gold, gold, gold

Lauriebugg 06-11-2007, 07:52 PM the Gordon #8 is also a variation.
reg. card has 2 extra white dots, one in the top righthand corner and one in the bottom lefthand corner. The variation does not have these. Link below to ebay listing on it.

Labontebrothersfan 06-12-2007, 12:19 AM YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!

What the heck kind of vatiation is that?
Sorry - but I think it's dumb!
ajwest92 06-12-2007, 01:52 AM this is gonna be a headache...
timbart824 06-12-2007, 09:08 AM Sounds like Press Pass has their priorities "back asswards"...

Lauriebugg 06-12-2007, 08:52 PM Has no one come up with any more variations yet? I have one possibility... Sadler #22. Not sure if bad cut or variation... But only have one the whole thumb is in sight on right hand and only half dot at top of card. All the rest have right thumb touching bottom of card and whole white dot at top.
Some to possibly check as I have more of these in dupes then other even tho I could find no variations would be:
Sorenson #44, Penske Racing #67, Harvick double duty #77 & kahne #84
I do not think is variation, but has anyone noticed that on card #71 Earnhardt is spelled wrong???
Lauriebugg
Labontebrothersfan 06-13-2007, 12:03 AM OK - on the #8 Gordon which is base & which is "variation"
I've opened 3 boxes so far & have six of the #8
THREE have the extra white dot upper right & lower left
THREE do not
I have no idea which is which!!! What a royal pain
nyhddb 06-13-2007, 06:31 PM kathy,
the regular gordon has a pattern like this.
white
gold
gold
white
white
white
white
i know this is the regular because i have the xray /99 and that is the pattern
so the variation does not have the white dot.

Lesracing 06-21-2007, 04:26 PM It has been confirmed that there are 6 different variations for the 2007 Stealth release.
I do not have all of the info on WHAT the variations are yet, but so we don't miss out on the cards themselves, here are the six cards that we know do have variations for them. Maybe together we can finish up a list of WHAT the variations are.
2007 Stealth Variant Photos:
# 6 Dale Earnhardt Jr - dots on card - gold, white, white, gold, gold, gold, gold
# 8 Jeff Gordon - first white dot missing in the order - starts with 2 gold dots
# 32 Juan Pablo Montoya - upper right corner is gold, not red
# 63 Jimmie Johnson -
# 77 Kevin Harvick -
# 84 Kasey Kahne - has 6 extra grid boxes extending down on the left side.
*** It appears that there are variations in BOTH the hobby and retail releases. ***
Keep adding to the post if you have any of these that are different. Thanks!
bret2 06-21-2007, 07:05 PM Les,
JPM is #32 & JJ is #63
#84 Kahne- I have two(retail) the variant has to do with the grid work in the background. One has 6 extra grid boxes extending down on the left side.

pezesu 06-23-2007, 11:27 AM the montoya variation is the upper right corner the backround for the dots. one is gold the other is red. not sure on the 77 but i may have one where the line on bottom is gold than blue instead of blue & gold, not sure on that one, cain't find anything on the harvick or kahne, may have given them up on a set for a friend.i need help on these. opened hobby only.thanks, perry
stewart20rulz 06-23-2007, 02:00 PM Thanks everyone for the great info.
BUT,
Couldn't press pass just tell us what the variants are and publish pics of them so everyone doesn't get so frustrated over what to look for. I'm almost positive I have no variants, but it would be nice to know exactly what to look for. I don't have the time to go over each card with a microscope to find the subtle differences.

Hey Don,
I agree with you. Press Pass started doing these becuase they 'think' that it is fun for the collectors. I would agree that in the past it was sort of fun to find differences in the PICTURES on the cards (almost like a puzzle where you find the differences in the two pictures). However, I agree that the differences in the Stealth cards (dots, lines, etc) is really quite boring and DUMB! Of course that is my perosnal opinion, but many seem to share the same opinion as me, LOL.
Press Pass will make known whar the variants are, but they don't usually do it for a few weeks or more to give the collectors a chance to see what they can find. The list that I first posted was some from pre-production intentions, but you may have seen that the card numbers were changed up on them (I fixed them already). Hopefully, I can get an accurate list of variants and get it listed soon. In the meantime, we can just keep plugging away at creating our own list. :frusty:
ajwest92 06-28-2007, 01:12 AM the JPM variation is the upper right hand corner...the variation color is gold, not red.
BTW, the variations run BOTH in hobby and retail. Just giving up a heads up for the set/driver collectors.
