I submitted my first card for grading and thought it would at least get a 9 but I checked my order status and this is what it reads:

Set Name:2005-06 Ultimate CollectionPlayer Name:Alexander Ovechkin AUDate Graded:Centering 10 Corners 9 Edges 8.5 Surfaces8.5 Final Grade: 8.5

My question is would anyone try and get it regraded (not sure how the edges got a 8.5 because they looked really good and even the corners at a 9; I even had one dealer who looked at it said it should get at least a 9 if not higher because the corners and edges looked really nice).

Or how do you think it would do in trade value as the bv on a raw card is $350.

Any input is helpful...even criticism :)
Thanks.

Without knowing to much about your card's condition, maybe it sounds like the surface is what's accurate. Therefore I wouldn't personally get it re-graded and leave it at the 8.5. At least any potential buyers/traders know what there getting.

Thanks. Just one other thing...what percentage of bv do you think the 8.5 would be in trade or sale? I know the 9.5 would be around book or a little more and a 9.0 would be a few bucks below. I was leaning towards about 75% of bv. LMK if you feel I'm way off or not since this is my first BGS.

Ed,
I would say that would be a good ballpark.
