Upper Deck President and Founder Richard McWilliam made a bold statement at the sports card industry’s annual trade conference in Ft. Lauderdale in April. Most attendees who listened to the hobby innovator speak felt his goals may have been too lofty. McWilliam said, “Redemption cards are ludicrous. We as a company and as an industry should eliminate redemptions. We shouldn’t be putting out a product that doesn’t have 100 percent of what is stated to be in the product.”

that was in april but yet it is now november and we are still seeing a crapload of redemptions.I am so disgusted with upperdeck it,s not even funny anymore,if they sent you the redemptions the card was actually for it wouldn,t be so bad, but when you wait sometimes for years and are told sorry we can,t obtain that card and then proceed to send you garbage replacements saying the book values are equal well that my friends is a crock. You would figure they would send you something of greater value but that is not the case,They sent me the wrong 10 card redemption set for ud baseball,i was supposed to get cards 501 thru 510,all rookies instead they sent me cards 301 thru 310 from ud first edition baseball, also we were told if your wait exceeded 45 days you would get something extra as compensation more bs from upperdeck.I waited 8 months for my redemption set and that was all i got.I am not saying i won,t buy their product anymore but they are definitely on thin ice with me,I know alot of collectors who feel the same way and trust me the next time upperdeck screws me i am definitely going to take action with the better business bureau.Maybe upperdeck thinks are money is easy to come by since we spend it on pieces of cardboard but that is not the case for myself, when i want cards i usually have to pull 2 overtime shifts to have extra money to enjoy my hobby, but lately from upperdeck there,s not much to enjoy.Sorry about the rant this post just struck a nerve take care steve
