First off let me wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

I've been collecting off and on for close to 16 years and have noticed that buying and breaking wax is my biggest addiction. Some of my friends it's alcohol ,gambling ,drugs etc...but, for me it's always been the rush I get when I break open some wax.

I go to Target or Wal-Mart to buy some much need home necessities and the first place I go is to where they sell the cards and I basically rarely leave without buying at least a blaster box. The only time I don't do that is when I know there's a card show coming up but, even then I find it difficult to say "no". Another excuse I use to buy cards is when I have leftover supplies and don't want them to go to waste so of course I need to buy a box or two in order to use those remaining supplies up.

My girlfriend has been pretty understanding and has actually bought me a few boxes here and there which actually adds fuel to my need to open more packs/boxes.

I'm curious as to how much you spend on average on wax, supplies, singles per month so I can see if I'm just overreacting to my whole situation. I spend anywhere from $100-300 a month on all of the above if there are no card shows that month. If there's a card show that total could easily double.

I'm the same way. I go to Target, Wal-Mart, or Dave & Adam's around 3-4 times a week and almost always end up with a blaster, $25 in packs, and about every other week a box of something along the lines of 05-06 Bee Hive or now 07-08 UD Series 1. I'd say I spend close to $300 a month. I'm actually heading to K-Mart in a few minutes to see if they have any hockey cards because they're all that's open today and I'm bored lol.

LOL! I went to Wal-Mart last night and bought myself a box Topps Basketball Blaster just to keep myself busy after the football games are over.

Yea, Dave & Adams is locked into my "favorites" is that wrong? With as much as I spend on that place you would think that I owned stock in their store. I figure I'm actually "saving" money since the shipping on multiple boxes lowers the average price on each box I order.

Well I'm (un)lucky enough to live about 20 minutes from their store, so if I get bored me and a friend of mine have a routine of swinging there, Wal-Mart, Target, and the mall because they're all within 10 minutes of each other...it really drains my bank account lol
