View Full Version : NBA Draft Lottery leftyshan 05-22-2003, 07:50 PM We're 10 minutes away from the lottery. What team gets the 1st pick? I'm going with New York or Cleveland. podstock 05-22-2003, 07:52 PM I am praying for a miracle, and say Lakers get the #1 pick, then trade it to Cleveland for a bunch of picks down the line, some players, and cash. But, in reality, New York, like in 1985, will get the #1 pick. NBA needs to get Lebron into high-power market --- Chicago, New York. L.A. isn't probable, since everyone will then know it's fixed for sure. pwaldo 05-22-2003, 08:02 PM I'm going to go with the Cavs. They NEED TO GET PEOPLE TO BUY TICKETS and James will do it. gioperation 05-22-2003, 08:17 PM the cav's would be good even though they are not in a big market, their games come on at a decent time for all leftyshan 05-22-2003, 08:20 PM The only teams left are Cleveland,Denver and Memphis. If Memphis gets the 2nd or 3rd pick it goes to Detroit. podstock 05-22-2003, 08:22 PM #3 = Nuggets #2 = Memphis (but, this pick will go to Detroit, via a prior deal) #1 = Cleveland!!!! leftyshan 05-22-2003, 08:23 PM Cleveland got it!!! That means the 2nd pick goes to Detroit. WOW, Carmelo playing with Rip and Big Ben!! Watch out!!! podstock 05-22-2003, 08:24 PM I am just glad that NY and Chicago didn't get it. leftyshan 05-22-2003, 08:26 PM Chicago would have been tough with James,Curry and possibly KG!! I'm glad, too. gioperation 05-22-2003, 08:31 PM lebron james baby and a 90 million shoe deal and the might get van gundy with the bad plug detroit gets the #2 pick now if detroit picks mello come those guys might have a run at the championship for years to come. can you see ben wallace, billups and mello together. radioheadfloyd 05-22-2003, 08:32 PM Oh no! Denver didnt get the 1st pick and will continue to be horrible. gioperation 05-22-2003, 08:33 PM Originally posted by radioheadfloyd Oh no! Denver didnt get the 1st pick and will continue to be horrible. just their luck right it was a good draft for the state of cleveland carson palmer and lebron, do you think that the cav's will do the same thing the bengals did and sign lebron before the draft... leftyshan 05-22-2003, 08:40 PM Word is Detroit is going to take Milicic and move Ben Wallace to power forward. pwaldo 05-22-2003, 08:43 PM So do I win a prize for guessing the Cavs? IggyWH 05-22-2003, 09:44 PM Originally posted by radioheadfloyd Oh no! Denver didnt get the 1st pick and will continue to be horrible. Don't worry Brad... you'll be getting a foreign playet that probably can't speak english :) leftyshan 05-22-2003, 09:47 PM Originally posted by IggyWH Don't worry Brad... you'll be getting a foreign playet that probably can't speak english :) Looks like Carmelo's going to Denver. Detroit has already worked out Milicic and would like to move Wallace to power forward. radioheadfloyd 05-22-2003, 09:56 PM Well, I guess Nikoloz, Pedrag and Darko can all talk to eachother about the loss in their native language. I guess Carmelo is a good pick. gioperation 05-22-2003, 10:00 PM the bulls worked out duane ward today IggyWH 05-22-2003, 10:08 PM Carmelo is better than any of those foreigners they got last year... very dumb picks last year IMO for the Nugs! IggyWH 05-22-2003, 10:08 PM Originally posted by gioperation the bulls worked out duane ward today Wade, it's Wade big guy... he kicked Pitt's *** in that Sweet 16 game! IggyWH 05-22-2003, 10:56 PM Jones has a GREAT first step, but I question his overall shooting ability just like J Wills. gioperation 05-22-2003, 10:56 PM Originally posted by IggyWH Wade, it's Wade big guy... he kicked Pitt's *** in that Sweet 16 game! crap that is what I meant they worked out... Marquette guard Dwyane Wade, Duke guard Dahntay Jones and BYU guard Travis Hansen the cav's already had lebrons jersey made radioheadfloyd 05-23-2003, 12:14 AM Well, I think Hilario is pretty good... but so far Nikoloz is a bust! I know you have seen some Carmelo games but I wouldn't judge anyone on a couple games, especially since he was a Freshman. I was hoping the Nuggets would get Lebron or Darko though. Houston is my #1 team, so hopefully they will continue to improve. gioperation 05-23-2003, 01:00 AM if lebron would go to the denver nuggets he would not be king james he would be le-le to go with ne-ne can you imagine lele to nene for the opp...lol podstock 05-23-2003, 02:31 AM LE LE to NE NE for the Slam Jam!! You could see the disappointment during the draft as the representatives found out they weren't getting the #1 pick Victory Sports 05-23-2003, 07:55 AM Originally posted by leftyshan Word is Detroit is going to take Milicic and move Ben Wallace to power forward. i dont think so. they just signed cliff for 2 more years, and they would have to sit him if they did pick Milicic. o, ben does play PF sometimes. cliff is sometimes at C. pwaldo 05-23-2003, 02:22 PM Originally posted by gioperation crap that is what I meant they worked out... Marquette guard Dwyane Wade, Duke guard Dahntay Jones and BYU guard Travis Hansen the cav's already had lebrons jersey made Who is that guy in the pic? He looks SO EVIL. I would never buy a jersey from him. LOL gioperation 05-23-2003, 02:40 PM the owner of the cav's IggyWH 05-23-2003, 02:46 PM Originally posted by L0stAndF0und i dont think so. they just signed cliff for 2 more years, and they would have to sit him if they did pick Milicic. o, ben does play PF sometimes. cliff is sometimes at C. The 18 year old Malicic will need 2 years before he could even think about being a fulltime starter. Also, did anyone watch Ricky Lake last night? They had on a kid who's 12 years old (will be 13 in July) who was 6-9 already. They flew him out to meet Shaq and they played some one-on-one. leftyshan 05-23-2003, 03:21 PM Originally posted by L0stAndF0und i dont think so. they just signed cliff for 2 more years, and they would have to sit him if they did pick Milicic. o, ben does play PF sometimes. cliff is sometimes at C. That's what was reported during the Pistons/Nets game. Dumars didn't deny the rumors. We'll see come draft time. Victory Sports 05-23-2003, 03:40 PM yea, i just heard that too. i think it will be mililcic. that will take cliff outta the lineup :) |
