View Full Version : Ever notice inserts rarely go up in value?

It seems to me that the only cards that increase in value are rookie cards. Most of the inserts I have, whether GU or auto or simply numbered, rarely go up in value, no matter how good the player is (except, maybe if it's the player's rookie season).

If this is the case, why do I buy these damn_inserts? I'm definately not in it for the money, sure, but why should I spend $25 now when I know it'll be valued at $25 later? Heck, since everyone wants the new stuff, it might actually be for sale for less.

Mostly rookie cards just go up.

The only time an insert card goes up is when a player like Bonds, Sosa, or McGwire got hot before and all of their cards increased.
