If you dont have an Etopps account and you want to set one up I will donate the card to you since Radioheadfloyd has one already.
tygercub12 03-08-2003, 05:06 PM Didn't that little bugger win the Clemens card up on Ebay too the other day? Some people have all the luck! ;)
I am going to attempt setting up an etopps account now (well some guy offered to sell me a Jeter for $50 awhile ago but I declined)... I had never heard of them til I came here, but it looks like an awesome hobby.
ETOPPSCARDGUY 03-08-2003, 05:13 PM Well go ahead and do it and I will set you up with your first card.
Hopefully Radioheadfloyd wont object. If he does he will need to post here and I will still send you the card anyways...lmk and email me at mike@mikemc99.com when you have done so or if you have any further ???'s
IggyWH 03-08-2003, 05:15 PM Nice post etoppscardguy... appriciate it!
tygercub12 03-08-2003, 05:17 PM If he objects, I understand, he did answer first and winning isn't everything :)
ETOPPSCARDGUY 03-08-2003, 05:18 PM This is what collecting is all about!!! Havin fun and maybe making some jingle...But if not, you still got some cool cards!!!
tygercub12 03-08-2003, 05:22 PM Collecting has to be fun, especially for someone as unlucky as me... when the 2001 Golf boxes were going for $70 a piece, i bought a lot of 5 for about $170 or so... my boyfriend also bought five. He pulled 6 TW rookies and nearly completed a set of Tiger Tales... I didn't pull one TW rookie... nor did i pull a Sergio Garcia... he got a few scratch-off ecards, I got none. I have the worst luck, I swear, but as long as it's fun, who cares?! :)

If you are not an Etopps member and want to be one this thread was for you. So certainly setup an account and LMK, I have over 100 02 Joe Mays in my port anyways so its not like its an isuue of me not being able to come up with the card for both of you (if I have to).....I believe (somebody correct me if Im wrong) that anyone can setup an Etopps account. You dont have to provide a credit card but you cannot purchase IPOs if you dont. Also, You have to have an Ebay account and a valid email address.
tygercub12 03-08-2003, 05:27 PM I'm good to go, I emailed you :)

Cool, I go to UNC right now. I want to go to Boulder for Law School. I hope to get a bunch of Bronco Autos when they train up here this summer.
tygercub12 03-08-2003, 06:11 PM If you ever have any questions about law school and want to ask, feel free, I'm stuck in Hell right now at Penn State Law. I wish I could have stayed at CU but I was really homesick. :(

When they're only worth 50 points max though, you got to make them answerable. It's tough coming up with good questions that can't be answered by a quick search on Yahoo though.

What year are you? Is it a ton of reading??
tygercub12 03-09-2003, 02:23 PM finishing up 2L right now... it's not too bad after the first year, but that's when it kills you. it's anywhere from 15-30 pages a night reading for each class, which isn't bad in itself, but once you start briefing and taking notes and trying to absorb all the new terms, it eats up your time.
if you're shooting for the top of your class, i'd suggest not having a job during your first year (of course you will want to find an internship or do pro bono work in the summer, but it's not a good idea to work during the schoolyear if you want to do REALLY well). i don't want to be an attorney, so i don't care about being in the top 10% or whatever... and i've been working weekends since i started school. luckily my job isn't very challenging, so i have a lot of time to read and study.
once you get through the first year, it isn't so bad... you know how procedural stuff works and you don't have to spend tons of time figuring all that stuff out so the case makes sense to you... plus you're more used to reading legal jargon, so the reading goes faster... and you're able to more efficiently brief.
i really didn't want to go to law school, but i had three majors in undergrad and i couldnt decide which i should get a masters in... so i avoided it completely by going to law school. plus i figure i can get a decent job with a law degree, even if it's not being an attorney.
the most important thing you want to do... make sure you're going for yourself, not to make anyone happy. it's a long road and it can be hard... and if your heart isn't into it, you'll find it hard to do the best you can.
ETOPPSCARDGUY 03-11-2003, 09:23 PM tygercub12, Card has been transferred. Congrats!!! Hope you like Etopps!!
jdfan123 03-12-2003, 08:06 AM nice gesture etoppsguy hope you enjoy etopps tygercub its alot of fun

I have heard that 1st year is hell! I don't plan on working during school, sounds like too much work already!
