I went to a cardshow in Strongsville, Ohio this past weekend and had the incredible opportunity to meet Ted Toles, Jr. He was signing his Hartland Statue (#ed to 100) and after he autograped this item for me, he began telling me stories of the days when he played with Jackie Robinson, Don Newcome, Larry Doby, Josh Gibson, Ray Dandridge, and so many others I could not list them all. I was interested in hearing more so I gave his son my cell phone number and when he returned from supper, I spoke with him for 1.5 hours in his hotel room. Amazing gentleman, amazing time! He signed the statue, a baseball, an 8x10, 2 3x5, and gave me a baseball card signed. Great success, great man!
