I have a ton of MLB SHOWDOWN. I used to be a big player for the first two years. I bought a box last year and couldn't spark much interest within my group of friends anymore. I still have a lot of foils and other cards. I bought 5 regular boxes and 2 Draft Boxes. If anyone wants any cards from MLB SHOWDOWN I could trade you some.

NFL Showdown is different you have plays and you have a scanner. The scanners that were released first really sucked (since all the foil cards, which were stars, wouldn't work) so Wizards offered a better scanner in 2003 after they killed it in 2002 with crappy scanners.
