Any boxing fans out there? This should be a good one tonight on HBO. Also on the undercard is Michael Grant who also is a good fighter although those 2 losses are really hurting him.

Nice fight! I like Michael Grant -- big, tall, and strong. Not sure he's good enough to challenge Lennox Waiting for the next Tyson fight ---- I can't wait, no matter when it will take place. No more thrilling a fight than when Tyson comes to play! stkmtimo 06-08-2003, 02:21 AM I can't stand Tyson, he's a jerk of the biggest kind. Of course, I can offer more harsh words but I am not going to! Tim podstock 06-08-2003, 02:47 AM does it make a difference, Tim, that Tyson grew up in Catskill, NY, one of the roughest neighborhoods in the U.S. You ever live near a ghetto, Tim I did, for four years, in Chicago, while I was doing my studies. It's not a pretty sight. Tyson may be a jerk; but he grew up in a neighborhood where you had to fight to live. IggyWH 06-08-2003, 06:02 PM Pod... how was the fight overall? I was so beat last night I put my head down at 9PM and never got up for the fight. Now that I just got home from work, I got 11 pages of posts to go through! podstock 06-08-2003, 08:49 PM unlike the heavyweight fights (except for Tyson's), where you get 2 lumberjacks just bouncing around the ring, and not doing anything, this was an exciting, very active bout, full of jabs, knockdowns by both fighters, blood-letting, and great chins by both fighters. And it went, what, 10 rounds? great to watch. Don't worry, HBO should re-air this on their sister stations (HBO2, HBO Signature, etc). |
