I remember it also - that fight was horrible, and I remember him making excuses to the press afterwards. Fact is that people pay to see these fights, and we don't need to see someone running away like an idiot. He probably should have been given one more small card fight to redeem himself though; remember when Gabriel Gonzaga redeemed himself after that "go home" fight with Kevin Jordan (2005)? Slowest, least active fight of all time, but now Gonzaga is at least a respected fighter.

he stated on his website that he broke his foot in the first round and he didn't want to quit so he thought his best bet was catching the other guy coming forward.
