I was a kid when Gretzky went to the Kings, and have been a fan since. My first year in college I worked for the L.A. Kings old retail store in the valley, the Slap Shop, until it closed.

I was a kid when Gretzky went to the Kings, and have been a fan since. My first year in college I worked for the L.A. Kings old retail store in the valley, the Slap Shop, until it closed.

Hey all!

My name's Sean and I mainly collect hockey. I'm new to internet trading and this site. I used to collect hockey cards quite a bit in the early 90s but quit for years. I got back into collecting this year at the St. Louis Blues Hockeyfest - to my wife's chagrin! She insists I spent $600 there but I swear it was less than $400! Some nice hits and I was hooked again.

(Unfortunately for my wallet), I tend to purchase a hobby box of Hot Prospects, BAP, Ice, or SPx every week, and will pounce on UD SP Game Used any time if it's a good price. My luck on the high end product has been quite poor, so I'm staying in that middle to upper middle tier.

I tend to like busting boxes more than collecting single players, but I'm in the hunt this year for Blue's rookies - especially last year's (Erik Johnson/David Perron) and this upcoming year's class (Oshie and whoever else makes the show).

Have PayPal, several autos and memorabilia, and low number cards for trade or sale. I'll be getting my inventory on the site over the next few weeks and could use some help setting up a bucket (if anyone's up for it - I'm totally computer literate, but have just never done any photo sharing before).

hi i am barry aka wolf i am from chicago and collect hockey and baseball. i came over about two months ago in the great beckett debacle.

i collect penguins and blackhawks (lol i know who doesn't) but also my #1 guy is brian elliott of ottawa so interested in trading for any /100 or lower you may have.

for sets i have a lot of 05-06 ice (dont have any level 1s though) and hot prospects and 07-08 hot prospects and fleer ultra if anyone wants to trade some set fillers.

Hi, my name is Marko and I am from Helsinki, Finland. I am collecting Giguere cards and at the moment my collection is 798/1378 cards of Him.
I have been trading now for years in finnish forum and I am also member of HI (feedback 36) and UCB (feedback close to 50). I am 41 years of old and YES I do have Beckett online also:) (This is just for the few first nice tries to downprice me in trades)!
I have traders from base to High-end and just last week started to update my own webpages, so in the near future there will be thousands of traders (I wish/hope). I have some very close friends who do this for living, so I have access to 1million++ cards if needed. Hey Everyone, My Name is David Everson and I'm from St. John's Newfoundland. I started collecting cards back 20 years ago when Upper Deck first started, and well after the 95-96 season I sort of packed my cards away never to be seen again. Then late last year, My wife bought me a very special christmas present. The Rookie Cards of both Ray Bourque and Cam Neely. I cherished those cards, and I got the craving to re-start my collection. So I dusted off the old binders and boxes, and off I went. A little over a year later, here I am, astonished by the prices of boxes, packs, and some singles, trying, or should I say, struggling to keep up with the pack. I had no idea what to collect or where even to start. I started getting a few Jerseys and Auto's that I liked, but it wasn't doing it for me. Then a few months ago, I started collecting Young Guns. Well ever since I've been hooked.

I collect purely on the spirit of the game, and I always try and look after the person I'm trading with. I bring over 70 online trades to this site, and a great attitude towards the hobby. I was very honored 2 days ago as Member "Ray" totally made my 2008 and my Christmas by trading me an Alexander Ovechkin Young Gun. It was my one and only chance to get one of those, and I'm proud to say I now own it. I'm still waiting for it to come, but hell, I have that card!

Anyways, I'm a Bruins fan as well, and I collect nice Milan Lucic and Tuukka Rask cards, but their few and far between. My main priority is to finish the list of Young Guns I sought for myself. I just signed up here, but I have browsed for a while. I am a part-time collector, and my collection is probably a lot smaller than most of you. I have been collecting off and on since 1988 (although I bought my first cards in 1968).

I am a Leafs fan when watching the game, but I collect everyone. Right now I am trying to get a single card of every player to start his NHL career in a given season. I am also trying to complete OPC 72-73.

I have bought and sold on ebay before, but this is my first dedicated trading site.

My name is Aaron and I live in Denver Colorado with my wife and two dogs.

After meeting Jay Cutler (Denver Broncos QB) at a local golf course last year I decided to stop by a card shop and pick up a few of his rookies. This sparked an interest in collecting again, a hobby in which I left behind many years ago. Since then I have focused mostly on NFL and NHL rookie cards. I have also picked up a few NBA rookies as well. My most recent purchase included several boxes of UD 2008 NHL Series 1 and Ultra NHL 2008.

The Young Guns this year from UD are my top priority right now. I'm trying to complete the set but need a few of the high-end cards like Stamkos and Wheeler. Hopefully I can find someone that is willing to trade their extras. I'm still trying to figure out how to view user's bucket lists though!?

After I started gettin' too many doubles, 50% now, I figured I would turn to the internet and see if I can complete my base set of 2008 O-Pee-Chee.

Just back to collecting after a 10 year hiatus. I originally collected lots of early 90s football (which is pretty much worthless now) but now into SPA hockey.

Baseball is riddled with roids and football/basketball are bunch of gangsters and thugs. Seems the only athletes I can genuinely appreciate and respect are hockey players... so i collect them!

I have browsed the site here a few times and it looked interesting. SO here i am. Been collecting on and off for about 20 some years. I have every Topps and OPC card from the 80's and most of the 70's Topps, and just recently found the fun in opening boxes and packs with all those inserts and crazy sub-cards out there! Sure is a different thrill from the old days of simple wax packs.

I do miss the teeth chipping bubble gum though!

I just signed up today, and am familiarizing myself with the site.
I'm Brian, coming to you from Saskatoon. I am slowly getting back into collecting.
I haven't opened much in the last nine years, but did a great deal in the 90's. I did start in 90 when the "card craze" was going on, but stopped out of disillusionment in 93 when volumes increased, and values plummetted. I picked it back up in 95, and cruised on till 99... Then I got Married! Had kids! Took on responsibilities.
Now I'm getting divorced. Still have kids, and responsibilities, but have a ton of cards. All those Pro-set, and score sets I have, I cant sell. I know! But my kids are indifferent, and it sure lit them up when I gave the sets to them.
My main focus was set building, mostly of Upper Deck of course, and I did focus on Players Jagr, Palfy and Stumpel.
Me and My whole collection survived my marriage, and on a number occasions were under threat of being discarded. That said, Here I am, and if anyone is interested in finnishing a set from the 90's or looking for specific inserts PLMK.

You will see that I originally joined back in 2005. I made 6 posts and then my computer died completely. I totally forgot about having joined this forum until today, when I found out by finding it online and then trying to register, only to find out that I already had!

I collect sets going back to 1968-69 and have only picked that as my beginning date because those are the first hockey cards I remember buying. Eventually, maybe, I'll expand farther back.

I recently finally got time to sit down and check over my collection and compile want lists to complete the various sets I've started over the last 30 years or so. My newest resolution is to keep up on this better. Over time, I will start to post them one by one and try to keep these postings updated as well.

My experience of these types of forums -- I belong to similar ones for stamp collecting and coin collecting -- is that they are truly communities where people help each other for mutual benefit. I am not going to knock dealers or ebay sellers -- they both have their place -- but sometimes they have a tendency to complicate matters, if not make them more expensive than they need to be.

In closing, all I can say is that it's nice to be here.

I'm Jacques (feel free to reference me as Jack), I have been collecting hockey cards since 1999, but recently have had to take a break from buying them. I am trying hard to put together a master set of 2000/2001 UD ICE, but the parallels are starting to become extremely hard to find. I have all the inserts, all the game used, all the signatures, complete parallel set Ice Stars #/500, about 80% of the parallel set #/150, and about 40% of the parallel set #/25.

I live near Pittsburgh and though I am a Flyer's Fan, my Wife is a Pen's Fan. So I am looking for some Crosby and Malkin rookie cards. I think I have one Crosby Rookie, but I don't have any Malkin.

I'm a mid-20's software engineer living in Central Massachusetts and I recently started getting serious about collecting hockey cards and memorabilia. I've been a hockey fan as long as I can remember, so when a friend who collects baseball cards (he may actually be registered here - rudzud would be his name most likely) informed me of the awesome hockey stuff there was out there, I immediately got into it.

The funny thing is though, that most of my good pulls have been players wearing the "bleu, blanc et rouge" sweaters so as a Bruins fan, this is a little saddening! I've got to find something to do with all this Canadiens stuff, so why not try and trade it for some of those wonderful Bruins pulls you canucks don't want? :)

While I may be new to this forum, you'll quickly find that I'm trustworthy, quite easy-going and I communicate well. Getting back into using the trading forums after a couple of years off...starting into the real world of a career and the massive amounts of time I spend commuting each day didn't leave me as much time to burn as I had when I was in university. Now that I'm used to it I'm looking to get back into this.

Mostly buy and sell on eBay, but very interested in getting back into making deals on here. Really like the improvements on the site from what I last remember of it.

Collect mainly Yzerman, Thornton and Lemieux, but also look to pick up the occasional Roenick, Samsonov, Daniel Tkaczuk, and Corey Crawford (only RCs right now on Crawford).

Had lots of trades done in the past under a different account name that comepletely escapes my mind (think I was under kryptonitebb before), hence the new account with the current rating of zero! Very reliable trader though, used to love searching out deals on here!

Im new to this forum and I have to say that Ive been looking for something like this because I dont know anyone else who shares my obsession for cards. Most of my friends used to collect when they were kids and threw all of their cards in a box and misplaced them.
It will be nice talking to people who like the same thing as I do.
I guess some things that I want to get out of becoming a member of this forum are that I get to work on my writing skills, I can also get info on upcoming card shows and I might be able to trade my cards.
I collect rookie cards and autographed rookie cards from all four sports. My favorite teams are the Buffalo Bills, Boston Red Sox and Buffalo Sabres, but I do not collect them.
