View Full Version : Benchwarmer - Where to buy? RenegadeLonghorn 08-11-2008, 06:43 PM Anyone know a reliable site that sells benchwarmer boxes and cases? hitechkoolaid 08-17-2008, 07:41 PM I've purchased Boxes online from Dave and Adam's Card World and Boxes and Cases from PGH Sports Wholesale and both shipped very quickly. PGH is running out of stock, so if you place an order via their website, you may end up getting a note informing you they are out of stock. Happened to me twice, but they made it up to me and gave me a deal on another case which I saved money. Also both websites offer free shipping over $150 spent I believe. RenegadeLonghorn 08-17-2008, 07:43 PM Thanks for the info. :thumb: hitechkoolaid 08-17-2008, 07:53 PM Another onlne website that has good prices but I haven't dealt with yet is Edgeman. BTW, are you looking for a certain year or series? I've opened cases of 05 series 1, 06 Holiday Series, 06 Series 2, 07 Series 1, and 08 Signature Series. I've also opened boxes from 2002 series 1 and 2, 2003 series 3, and 2004 series 2. RenegadeLonghorn 08-17-2008, 07:57 PM I'm just now entering the Benchwarmer realm. Starting off small and collecting three newer girls from 07 and 08. I probably will collect complete base sets from boxes that I bust. The edgeman does have a lot of the sets. Solid prices too. hitechkoolaid 08-17-2008, 08:16 PM If you buy any boxes prior to 2004, be prepared to work hard, because the cards are stuck together. 2002 series 1 isn't that big of a deal due to the auto or insert pretty much being either the last card or first card, can't remember which. The other years though, you have to work at finding the auto/insert. I liked the 2007 series 1 set. There aren't the big flashy names like some of the other sets for autos, but the base set looks nice and there are 6 chase variants of the base set. You can probably still find a sealed case for $330 and have a shot at getting a hot box. Plus you get the case topper, and you know you'll be getting your other hits. 2007 also gave you 3 autos per box which was a plus. If you are going for complete base sets, cases really are the only way to go due to the high number cards, unless you don't care about putting that set together. RenegadeLonghorn 08-17-2008, 08:26 PM Nice, thanks for the info about the pre 2004 sets. Mainly non auto base sets. Maybe some easier insert sets too. Just depends on how much I have to spend on boxes. :) Edgeman and eBay are the only places that I've seen cases. I'd really like to get a case of 08 SS, but I'm still not sure if I can commit $800-900 on it. Do you know how many color parallels come in each box of 07 Gold Series? mikesilvia 08-17-2008, 08:39 PM We will have a Benchwarmer store set up. I hope to have it set up in the next few weeks. hitechkoolaid 08-17-2008, 09:01 PM Sounds sweet Mike! Not sure Renegade I haven't opened any of that series yet. Just ordered another half case of 08. I didn't realize that Brian put hot boxes in the signature series also. |
