while I love basketball and football....I'd have to say the rich history of baseball makes it the greatest sport.

of course, if you're overseas, soccer is the greatest sport ever

Definitely baseball. As far as team sports go, it's the most "different" in my opinion. Nearly every other team sport involved one team controlling the ball and trying to move it from one end of the playing surface to the other.

Obviously there are plenty of variations on methods and rules involved, but the overall concept is the same: Move the ball from one side to the other and put it somewhere special.

Basketball, Football, Soccer, Hockey, Lacross, ArenaFootball, Ultimate Frisbee, even Volley Ball and Tennis loosely follow the same idea...

I'd have to go with baseball.

I like to play basketball more but I enjoy watching baseball more and baseball is older and has a better tradition that all other sports envy.

I love baseball and football but have to give the edge to football. There is just something to the build up each week for the Sunday games. Wether it be to watch your favorite team, your fantasy team or just can't wait to get out of the house, go to the bar and eat and drink all day watching every game.

Baseball...while it's hard to keep up day-to-day, I'm as excited as I was Christmas morning as a kid when it's Opening Day.

Baseball and football have the best traditions and the legends make the game amazing. Players like Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, Stan Musial in baseball, and Red Grange, Ken Strong, Walter Payton in football.

I would have to go with golf only because it's the hardest game and it can never be mastered. No matter how good you are you can still improve on something. Although I would have to say that baseball is the greatest American sport. It's our national past time.

Baseball.... where else do you get so many different strategies and so many different outcomes due to those many stragtegies. Keeps you guessing and who dont love being an "armchair" manager?
