I'd give it to Tmac or Garnett. Kobe isn't even in my top 5. The least talked about player who deserves it over Kobe is Dirk. Nowitski has been huge this year and is the best player on the team with the best record.

My top five would be:
1. McGrady
2. Garnett
3. Nowitski
4. Kidd
5. Duncan

tmac ,magic would be fighting for lebron james and not for the playoffs if it was not for tmac!

If I got to vote it would go to Kevin Garnett. This guy puts up huge numbers and isn't surrounded with a lot of talent and seems to be always overlooked.

The answer depends on how things finish out, since it's very close.

Here are my predictions, in order of importance.

1. It's KG, if the Wolves hold on the #4 spot.

2. It's Kobe, if the Lakers can get to that #4 spot.

3. otherwise, it's Mcgrady, for being able to carry the entire team on his back. However, the Magic are **this** close to having a bad 3-4 game stretch and missing the play-offs entirely. If that should occur, he doesn't deserve the MVP.

4. How about Duncan -- quiet, steady performer. And the Spurs have shown they can beat the Lakers and Kings

I vote for KG! Leads the league in Double-Doubles and that team would be competing in the lotto if he wasn't on it!

this has got to be the closest race in quite some time.

about 8 games or so to go before play-offs begin, and there's still no clear-cut choice.

As a matter of fact, given how strong the Spurs have come on (Dallas has 2 games left vs Lakers, and one vs Spurs at Alamodome)...Duncan might emerge from the pack to win it all.

And he wasn't even considered among MVPs for this year (Kobe, T-mac, KG)

If someone's relative dies before they give out the award and they are in the top 3 for the MVP they will get it. Duncan didn't deserve it last year, this year sure he is doing very well. I believe he won it for the wrong reasons and to take his mind off of it. Kobe, Duncan, Tracy, Garnett will win it. Unless MJ scores 100 in a game soon ;)
