Hi everyone...

we are trying to clean up the Trades in Progress Forum (to new members - this is the forum where you and your trading partners list the cards you are sending to each other; that way there is a "record" of a transaction, in case a problem arises).

so, for those folks who have done trades and posted those trades in the TRADES IN PROGRESS forum

http://www.sportscardforum.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?&forumid=116

--- please go there and make a post saying "...trade complete..",

that way, we can move the threads to the Completed Trades Forum. We are trying to organize the forum a bit

Thanks

Phil (Podstock)

short answer: you should

long answer: when transactions are done over the web, it's based on folks being ethical. But, as we all know, life isn't ethical.

so, the best protection you have on this trading site is to make a post in the Trades in Progress Forum. List the cards you are trading. List the person who you are trading with. List the cards you are supposed to receive. Have the other person make a post saying that they agree on the transaction posted.

This way, if something goes wrong, you can tell one of us Mods/Advisors, and if the situation cannot be rectified, we can proceed to ban the trader who's conning folks out of their cards.

if you don't make any posts, then it's hearsay. You can say you traded 4 Jerry Rice cards for 4 Joe Montana cards, but without some type of proof, it's your word vs. someone else's word; in this case, we can't do anything

Yup, that's the truth. Even with all of the PMs.
