I'm glad this guy is finally getting some credit, I remeber his freshmen year when he was some what in the Hesiman race.

He's played great this season, but Texas has had an easy schedule so far. After this upcoming week against Colorodo, they have to face four undefeated Big 12 Teams - Oklahoma, Missouri, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech (all ranked in the Top 25). After this stretch, we will see how great McCoy and the Longhorns really are.

He had an outstanding freshman season until the injury against K-state. He would have been a Heisman finalist then imo.

He's off to a great start this year, but we'll see how he does in Big 12 play...especially against Oklahoma.

If they win those games I don't know how McCoy doesn't win it unless he plays horrible and they still win. I don't believe they will win all their upcoming games though as they are facing one tough team after another.

They haven't really played anybody, but 80% completions is still amazing. Those numbers are sick and even if Texas loses 1 or 2 to really good teams, he'll still have a shot if he keeps that up.

Wait til they play OU and get beat....who has texas played so far really nobody yet they will lose a couple of games i think in conference play and McCoy will not win the Heisman.

You say this because?? Do you think that Texas will win that game....my point being that they have played what i see as a cupcake schedule so far, Arkansas not that good. OU has played better teams so far and i just don't think they will lose that game. They have looked better to me than Texas has and i think they have a better overall team again this year.

Mizzou's D isn't that great, but the way he tore up OU....just ridiculous. In a conference full of really good QBs, McCoy is definitely standing out right now.
