Former Heavyweight champ Larry Holmes is closing his gym in Easton, PA about 10 minutes from my house. He had a garage sale at the gym this weekend and this is what i got

I can't believe he'd want to get rid of some of the stuff he was selling but i was happy to buy it. I got it all for under $100 combined. The ring corner looks great the autograph is like a foot high.

Thats really awesome! Dumb question, but was he there for the garage sale? I love going to yard/garage sales, never know what your gonna find...on a side note, my dad use to run a service station in Allentown back in the 70's and Muhammad Ali use to always come in and visit him everytime he was in the area. He use to train somewhere in the poconos. My dad said he was a real nice guy.

Yeah, he was there for about an hour. He got there maybe 30 minutes after i got there. I waited so i could meet him.

I'd say the gloves alone are a good deal for $100.
Sad that he had to close his gym though...

He still owns a restaurant/nightclub in town. He is getting older and i don't think he had the energy for the gym anymore.

He must be broke, LOL, because I wouldn't have sold that Evander autograph because that's from one great boxer to another. It's cool you got that because you can get a Holyfield auto anywhere, but to get one personally addressed to Larry Holmes FROM Larry Holmes is special.
