View Full Version : Frustrated Cowboys Fans
dfr52 10-05-2008, 07:14 PM Any other Cowboys fans disappointed by their performance today?
Right now they are not playing like a Super Bowl team.
Thank-you T.O.!
Too much talent to be this close. Why can't they put this team away?
mack10290 10-05-2008, 07:57 PM I'm watching that game and I'm shocked the 'Boys are letting the Bungles challenge them like this at home! If the Bungles win this, and its close now, the status of the Cowboys falls a long ways.
neverfinished94 10-05-2008, 08:00 PM the Bengals did take the undefeated Super Bowl Champion Giants to overtime 2 weeks ago. We do look terrible though
dfr52 10-05-2008, 08:01 PM I have to agree. This is a very poor showing. If T.O. is upset after the game I will not blame him but the coaching. I'm concerned that Phillips is the problem.
hazeofgreen 10-05-2008, 08:19 PM You'll get a win, for sure. The Bengals arent as bad as they looked in the beginning of the year, it is evident in the last few games they played.
94ware 10-05-2008, 08:36 PM there is reason to worry...they looked awful today in a game that shoulda been a breeze
aw00d05 10-05-2008, 08:41 PM there is reason to worry...they looked awful today in a game that shoulda been a breeze
when you think that every game is going to be a breeze thats how games like todays happen...the defense played very well and the offense sucked the only reason the bengals scored was due to dallas turnovers they only had 2 drives i believe over 50 yards the whole game...romo was stupid on the fumble and underthrew the INT. but the running game made up for that big time felix jones should be getting more reps in my opinion. he has been electric when barber is not. i'm not all that concerned as a cowboys fan. if they lose like 3 in a row then i will be worried...

While the defense looked better Romo is getting worse by the week. I still believe in him but he needs to get back on track. The running game was better but I have to agree that Jones has earned more touches. Defenses can get worn out chasing him.
hazeofgreen 10-05-2008, 08:52 PM Felix Jones is a burner. They need to get him on the field more, line him up in the slot if you have too.
WHEC716 10-05-2008, 09:55 PM It would be interested to see the cowboys use Felix Jones in the same way the Dolphins are using brown, a la the razorbacks
mjaneway 10-08-2008, 02:40 PM Cowboys need to stop worrying about getting TO the ball and pound it with Jones and Barber. They play better when they don't try to force it to TO.
#11 Roy Williams 10-08-2008, 07:12 PM GET TO THE HELL OUT OF HERE OR MAKE HIM SHUT THE HELL UP!
He's really getting under my skin. He talks way too much and causes more turmoil then good. He will get the ball if he is open, and if we win the game and he touched the ball 0 times tell him too **** bad and ship him away to anyone who will take him that will give us a good WR in return. When we win by a good margin, he never opened his mouth. When we lost and we got him the ball alot (19 targets) he still *****ed. The man is a nuisance. He may be a key to us winning it all, but if he is going to be the key to us being distracted, he isn't worth the time and trouble.

And I agree 110%. We have one of the best tandem of RB's in the NFL, why don't we f'n utilize them.
Our defense isn't spectacular, but we are banged up a little bit as well.
Playcalling sucks lately, and we need to find a way to fix it and our defense and we are only 12 games away from a SB.

The defense seems to be getting better but they need more turnovers and big plays.
The playcalling the past two weeks has not been good. The offense should be scoring on nearly every drive with the talent they have.
nickolas_311 10-08-2008, 08:49 PM i dont know about scoring on every drive, but i do know they would be much better off if they would quit trying to force the ball to TO. Also, it doesnt seem that the defense can get consistent pressure with a four man rush. It doesnt matter who is in your secondary, if the cowboys dont pressure QBs, there will be no turnovers or big defensive plays.
RenegadeLonghorn 10-09-2008, 02:12 AM I was disappointed with our performance against the Bengals. We are not a Super Bowl team yet.
Jason Garret needs to find ways to get the ball to Felix Jones in the passing game. He has only two catches all season! I've seen Barber in there a lot on 3rd down. I assume Felix is having a hard time picking up blockers...but this guy is too explosive to play sparingly.
As for the defense...stay healthy. Terence Newman was out again. We're not putting enough pressure on the QB and coverage is breaking down.
dallascisco 10-09-2008, 11:24 AM I think they need to get TO down the field more. I was watching the skins/cowboys game and wondering why they were throwing so many 3-5 yards hitch/slant routes to him. I saw at leat 4 knockdowns by shawn springs on super short patterns to TO. Jason Witten is catching alot of passes beyond 10 yards so why can't TO?

LARON LANDRY.
Dude is the #1 coverage safety in the NFL. He has amazing closing speed, no one has succesfully beat him deep all year. In fact, they dont even try to anymore. Drew Brees was lucky in week 2 that he was not intercepted a few times. There are videos of Plax during week 1 saying do not get me the ball when 30 is near.
The Skins will let you have your dink and dunk, but they do not want to get beat by the deep ball.

hazeofgreen 10-09-2008, 04:01 PM It is silly, but it sure happened in almost every game the Skins played so far. The one deep ball by the Cards was on the opposite side of the field. Brees was the only one to contest him.

I can't recall a safety in the past 20yrs who is as good of an athlete as Landry. His speed makes him special.

Sean Taylor. :thumb:
Together they could have been the best safty tandem that ever set foot on the field. Sad, we will never get to see tha happen.

I would like to introduce to you Troy Polamalu and Bob Sanders. Lets not get ahead of ourself. There is not one GM/Owner that would take Landry over either of those 2 ;) In fact not even close. Can't wait till Novemeber lol..

Bob Sanders is a walking injury waiting to happen. He's good, but a liability if you are counting on him.
Polamalu hasnt been "himself" for the last two years. Landry is the future!!!

I have to agree both are often injured and this has affected their play on the field. Polamalu is having a good start so far though.

As pure athletes go I would have to put Landry a head of both players. I did miss Taylor whose blend of speed and size was unreal. I believe USC's safety is in the same mold as Taylor with the size/speed combination.

Time will tell I guess
2008 Stats after 5 games
Tackles Landry 15 Polamalu 20
assist Landry 3 Polamalu 5
Ints Landry 0 Polamalu 3 (someone said he was the #1 coverage safety in the league Landry did not even get a pick last year either)
Passes defended Landry 4 Polamalu 5(last year Landry 7 in a whole year Polamlau 9 in 11 games)
Sacks Landry .5 Polamalu 0
Again Lets not get ahead of ourself lol. I agree the Skins are the hottest team other then the Giants but lets keep things in perspective
hazeofgreen 10-10-2008, 01:39 AM Landry had two picks in the loss to the Seahawks in the playoffs.
Its hard to get picks when the ball is never thrown near you.
blueuncle 10-10-2008, 02:30 AM It's really not that surprising considering the fact that T.O. had to pop off and the media has been running with it. People underestimate how all this can mess with the psyche and team chemistry. Now the media will run with the new Pacman news. I like Dallas and think they can be a superbowl team, but these distractions are going to have to stop.

Haze you have top do better then that. He is a safety not a CB. He is a Free Safety at that LOL. (football 101) The ball comes his way plenty of times if he is not near every deep ball or pass over the middle then he is out of position then. I am not saying he is not good but was just commenting on the fact that it was stated he is the best safety in the last 20years and the best coverage safety in the league.(strong statements) I clearly proved that wrong.
I will be at that Nov 3rd game in DC. Anyone going? Hope the skins take it easy on them..

LOL When we play you guys in week 8 ( I believe) you will see how Blache uses Landry. He is used a a DEEP safety roaming way off the line of scrimmage. He has great closing speed, that is why they put him out there. He is playing the same way Sean Taylor played in the beginning of the season last year. He had 5 interceptions at that time before he went out with that injury during the Eagles game.
BTW I never said he was the best safety in the past 20 years!! I said he was the best coverage safety in the league now, just my opinion. I never said The other guys were bad or anything, please dont take it the wrong way. :kiss:BTW those stats dont mean nothign to me, there is more to a game then stats. If you like at Santana MOss last week, he had zero catches in the win verse the Iggles. If you watched the game, you's notice he was double and sometimes even triple covered at all times. Look what Cooley and CP did because of it. He still was a major factor.

However when it comes to the playoffs (and let's admit that's when this team needs focus and heart), what has Romo done that Quincy Carter hasn't?

I was the one who said he was the most athletic safety in the past 20 yrs. and by what he did at the combine I'd stick with my statement. I'd like to add that most athletic and best player are two different things. As far as speed goes the edge would have to go to Landry.

I couldn't agree more especially since Phillips doesn't seem like a coach who can hold a team togather. The team also seems to lack leadership.

Romo seems to be a very streaky or a hot/cold player. If he's on the passing game goes very well and if not it stalls.

#11 Roy Williams 10-11-2008, 12:51 AM I don't understand how we can say our offense is doing poorly. We've scored an average of over 30 points per game. It really isn't the offenses fault that the defense couldn't stop a Pee-wee team. We need to create turnovers, and make big stops. I think our offense is going along decent for what we were expected, but our defense needs to step it up and perform like a defense who is getting paid all that money.

I agree the defense has farther to go but the offense still seems out of sync at times and I think this might have to do with the play calling and Romo.
jedijohnson 10-11-2008, 08:59 PM stay off drugs
haha, true. But as I stated, I was referring to playoffs (ie..wins & losses).
Romo is a great down-to-earth guy (who happens to be dating JS).
I especially liked the story of him stopping on a freeway to help a stranded lady change her flat-tire a few weeks back.
dfr52 10-12-2008, 08:55 PM Now I'm frustrated and concerned. The defense played better but the offense looked out of sync again. With all the talent they have on that side of the ball how does that happen? How is this fixed? Right now I lack faith in the coaching staff.
94ware 10-12-2008, 09:54 PM I'm starting to lack faith everywhere on that team. The huge O-Line played terribly all game. Romo became inconsistent. The D played very well in the first half but couldn't stop anyone in the second. Marion Barber was a monster like usual though. We really need a second WR who can take focus off of T.O.

I have no clue why the O-line got it handed to them today. It might have helped to of given the ball to Jones more (if he wasn't injured) to get the ball to the outside. Running up the middle isn't a good idea when the defense is stacked there and the draw isn't too effective when the passing game is a dud. Chad Johnson? Terry Glenn? LOL Clayton and Austin looked ok but I can't tell how their routes look and if they are creating separation.
94ware 10-12-2008, 10:05 PM Yeah but either of those 2 options don't fill the void for a #2 WR. And Crayton is more of a #3 WR.
jedijohnson 10-12-2008, 10:21 PM There are still many more games to be played this season, so I can only hope the coaches can pull this together. Right now I'm thinking forget the SB, I'm just hoping we make the playoffs.
94ware 10-12-2008, 10:24 PM looking at the standings it will be a fight for the cowboys to only get the playoffs.

I was hoping Austin, Herd or Crayton would step-up and become a solid no.2 receiver. So far each have shown glimpses but none of them has been consistent.
jedijohnson 10-12-2008, 10:28 PM Maybe that's what they need (to have to fight for it ala the Giants last year).
Maybe they'll develop some heart, cos this team doesn't seem have any.

Honestly yea, which is sad considering how much talent is on this team. As the night goes on I'm really thinking the coaching is the problem.
jedijohnson 10-12-2008, 10:33 PM Same here. I think that Garrett is a keeper though. Phillips, I'm beginning doubt.

They lack heart and a killer instinct right now. Again I'm not sure if Phillips is the coach to do this. Coughlin is a coach who can control and get his team going. Is Jimmy Johnson available?:confused0024:
jedijohnson 10-12-2008, 10:34 PM I'm curious too why when Felix Jones went out, that they didn't sub in Tashard Choice.
Is he slower than Marion?

I think they are very similar w/ Barber being more physical and Jones being a step quicker. Wouldn't of hurt to of given him some touches though.
I really hope Jones is back next week. They really need to get the ball to him more often.
jedijohnson 10-12-2008, 10:43 PM A loss is a loss, so congrats to the Cards. I really like Kurt Warner a lot. He's a Christian and solid competitor.
The Cards special teams and the Cowboys poor Oline play ultimately cost the Boys the game.

True, also the missed FG by the Cowboys didn't help. I agree about Warner as well.
hector234 10-12-2008, 11:36 PM Kurt Warner was just on in the 2nd half. Cowboys had some missed opportunities, but the Cards D stepped up great. Overall, it was a great game, the Cards playing at home really fired them up
#11 Roy Williams 10-13-2008, 12:11 AM Wade Phillips is not a coach, he is a fan. He needs to get somebody fired up. Get the ball to TO. Not only will he shut his mouth, we will move the ball. Enough with this short passing crap. Make your WR's run routes where they use the middle of the field, and can get some yards after the catch. MOST IMPORTANTLY, PROTECT YOUR **** QUARTERBACK!! He is the catalyst to this offense. If he is getting hit from behind or knocked on his *** every play, something is wrong. These guys WERE Pro-Bowlers, and I don't know what happened. Too many **** doughnuts during the offseason or something, but they have got to get fired up and motivated for something. They are about as aware as a 3 year-old. Especially Gurode. A) He couldn't block worth a ****. B) The clock was winding down, Romo was calling for the ball and he just sat on his *** and looked down. 5 yard penalty. C) THE BALL WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE! RECOVER THE BALL YOU **** SCRUB!!
The whole OL is having problems and it's really aggravating to watch.
And after watching the games today, there is no doubt in my mind that Drew Brees is the best QB in the NFL.
hector234 10-13-2008, 12:13 AM I'm still waiting for Vincesanity to post, 3 weeks ago he said the Cowboys were headed to the Super Bowl, and they were unstoppable  The Cards just outplayed them, and out coached them

I wish the Cowboys would do all of those things. How come it seems that when T.O. was w/ the Eagles he was always open (or thrown to) but w/ the Cowboys Romo can't get the ball to him. The line played poorly but there were multiple opportunities for big plays but Romo got Jacked Up due to his poor pocket presence. Someone does need to light a fire in that O-line and Romo before it's too late.

If things don't change the only way they will find their way into the Super Bowl is if they are buying tickets.
hector234 10-13-2008, 01:16 AM The Cardinals deserve credit for pressuring Romo, the o-line didn't play well, but the Cardinals did mix up the pressure. As for needing other WRs, I actually think Miles Austin is turning into a very reliable target. Witten got called for some false start penalties, and even dropped a few passes (not like him)

There was one where it hit his hands and he just dropped it-I want say the catch would of been a first down.

Silly Raiders Fans....Superbowl Bound still, Id rather us lose a few early and get it together late than breeze thru the regular season and not be prepared for the playoffs.
Hector atleast ya'll are in the running for something, the 1st pick:pound:
Maybe Al davis will draft another QB:pound:

Right now they are not playing like a Super Bowl team.
Thank-you T.O.!
Too much talent to be this close. Why can't they put this team away?
super bowl team, what nitwit said that? and the boys/girls must have believed it.
good game t. o. ha ha ha

I loved when Denny Green did that. One of the greatest rants of all time!!!
As for the Boys..Not like they were going go 15-1. Way to early. I bet they win the division still at 12-4 or 13-3. The giants will come in 2nd based on tie breaker and the skins will fall part. The eagles well they played there best game against the Steelers and barely got by.The eagles will finish 8-8 or 9-7..They have to realize one game does not make a season...All this is good for talk radio though!

BCUS28 10-13-2008, 01:25 PM Frustrated Cowboys fan--- *raises hand*
Man what a game that was, and the entire day was great football!
All due credit to the Cardinals, they had some impressive control of the game in the 4th quarter. Man what a cooky game.
Vincesanity 10-13-2008, 05:56 PM Our O-line is playing bad
Our DB's are playing bad
Felix Jones needs the ball more
Tony Romo needs to wake up, now he has 4 weeks to get his act together
Wade Philips needs to be let go after this season, Cowboys play with no passion and Wade can't light the fire under them
We aren't a smashmouth team and need a coach that will put us in that direction
We're still 4-2, Top 10 team right now with the best Talent in the League, we only beat ourselves.
I honestly think losing a few games is better for us
Its early in the season so all you jokers can calm down
Thank God we aren't the Raiders

Sorry girly, that's called denial. In the 2 losses the Cowboys got outplayed and outcoached. Way to throw in the Raiders, at least i'm not a bandwagon fan or make excuses for when my team loses. The Cowboys lost because the Cardinals played better. End of story. Don't cry to me on your pms about how Wade Philips was at fault, or Tony Romo is awful, because a month ago you were proclaiming Romo to be the best QB. The Cowboys secondary is awful, even with all the Pro Bowlers

No bandwaggoner here. Hold on, how are admitting that you've been outcoached and saying that our O-Line is an excuse? It is an observation of the game. Did we lose because our O-Line sucked and so did our DB's? Of course. Not even Tarvaris Jackson could play with that O-Line :scared0012:. I think think that Romo is one of the best QB's in the NFL. Not many QB's could play as decent of a game as Romo did with pressure from behind on EVERY SINGLE PLAY. Our run game wasn't going anywhere, and it was left up to our passing attack. They played some **** good defense, and we couldn't stop the rush worth beans and our DB's couldn't stop the pass in the 2nd half. Not sure what happened with our team, but they're 4-2 and getting slammed on because they're the Cowboys, yet I don't see anyone slamming on the Raiders because they're 1-4. Don't even see the ever so hated Patriots being slammed on because they've already lost 2 more games then they did all of last year. I'll wait 'till the Playoffs and when the Cowboys get it together and watch all these foolish people saying, "of course, I knew it all along. Best talent and coaching in the NFL."
Vincesanity 10-13-2008, 08:27 PM Hector just likes to wine cuz he's the only Raiders fan in Texas. His team is the doormat of the league, people always love to hate the best teams, makes them feel better.

Learn a little more about football before you post next time. Atleast I can be honest about my team.
When you have 5 Superbowls, if and when you ever make the playoffs again, you make actually be able to have something to say.

I love people that post who's football IQ is minimal. Cowboys played their worst game of the year on Sunday and took Arizona to OT. We played at about 50% potential. When we're at our best we're the best team in the league. We have the most talent and the most playmakers. Please name your other 2 teams since you forgot to. Cowboys don't take games seriously and rely on pure talent too much. Thats our downfall as well as being a finesse team and having Wade Philip's.
wheeler281 10-13-2008, 08:55 PM Come on Vince. I understand your frustration just because you have marquee names/ formally suspended guys means nothing. There D is soooooooooooooooft except for the ends. Too bad there are 9 other positions.. The Linebackers are never will bes. Dude Zach Thomas starts..The best team in the league the last time I checked was the G-Men. You both have the same team as last year and they won the trophy. Not sure what is up for debate after that.. Can't wait till the 3rd ;) Hope the boys take it easy on the Steelers
Vincesanity 10-13-2008, 09:03 PM Not saying we're the best team...we have the potential to be. Giants brought it together and played as a team, we haven't played as a team in a long time. We may not beat the Rams. We may not win another game, its looking very bad. Giants are the best team right now. I would love to have Tom Coughlin as our coach, he could actually bring the team together.
How dare you hate on Zach "no neck" Thomas :), he's actually done pretty well

I have to agree that the Cowboys have tons of potential but have yet to live up to it. The team has yet to play a complete game where each player plays to their ability. Super Bowl teams don't have this problem and the Cowboys need to fix this b/c potential doesn't win games.

While I wouldn't say the LB's are the problem I have to give it to the Steelers. If the Cowboys played w/ the desire the Steelers have shown in their previous 2 wins they'd be undefeated.

They have been missing some key players but the pass rush has been hit or miss as well.
wheeler281 10-13-2008, 09:16 PM Vince you are so right about Zach. Did you see him fly over the line yestderday. He was crazy.. Did you see him on hard knocks when they all were in the Ice tubs. That was hilarious! I can't believe nobody is talking about Hurd(great on both ends of special teams) and Briar (Pro bowler) out for the year and Felix out 2-4 weeks min with the torn hamstring. Felix has had a direct hand in a couple wins and they might not have won a couple of those games w/out them
Vincesanity 10-13-2008, 09:23 PM HAHAH Thomas is a Warrior, that was great when we was going over the line, popped right back up. Felix needs the ball atleast 10 times a game. WTF, did not see this about Mcbriar being out for the season. Please say your joking
Vincesanity 10-13-2008, 09:25 PM Holy Crap your right. That really sucks, its people like him you miss and don't notice. No that was on Monday Countdown. Broken foot or something. It was scrolled along with Felix's injury and Hurd's
Tell me about punters injuries. Sepulveda was our starter drafted last year and was awesome. Did not even make the 1st game before out for the year. He could pin guys back. Been a struglle since

Vincesanity 10-13-2008, 09:31 PM P Mat McBriar (foot) - McBriar's foot collided with Arizona's Sean Morey on the blocked punt to end Sunday's game. Though X-rays were negative an MRI Monday revealed he had sustained season-ending damage to his kicking foot. He is expected to be place on the injured reserve
Vincesanity 10-13-2008, 09:33 PM RB Felix Jones (hamstring) - On his first run of the third quarter Sunday Jones went 14 yards around left end but slowed up near the sideline with pain in his left hamstring. He rode a stationary bicycle and stretched with trainers but was unable to return. He is expected to miss at least two weeks with a hamstring strain

#11 Roy Williams 10-13-2008, 10:54 PM Ok Hector, you talk enough garbage about the Cowboys. How about this:
Raiders = 1-4
Cowboys = 4-2
Raiders SB wins = 3
Cowboys SB wins = 5
Last time Oakland MADE the playoffs was in '03. Last time the Cowboys made the playoffs was last year.
PLEASE!
I will allow fans of a few teams talk trash on the Cowboys since they at least have teams who are better than the Cowboys - Giants, Titans, Redskins, Colts, maybe Steelers, and a very few others possibly. I want to see the Raiders beat anybody before you start talking about how bad the Cowboys are. My last question for you is:
Are you ready for another top 5 draft pick Raiders fans?
Sir BucNasty 10-13-2008, 10:56 PM Jethro!! Whats up?
Not much man. Been busy as hell. Started school back in August. Been gettin on Gears a little bit, not much though. Whats been goin on with u?
Sir BucNasty 10-13-2008, 10:59 PM Ok Hector, you talk enough garbage about the Cowboys. How about this:
Raiders = 1-4
Cowboys = 4-2
Wait a second. I thought you were a disgruntled Detroit Lions and wondering why you still support them fan? Or is it that you have a mancrush on Roy Williams? I forget. Please clarify.

Clarified in the above post.

:sign0020: Shouldn't you go back to that thread you created, where you proclaimed your love for Roy Williams? What does it matter if the Cowboys make the playoffs if they get eliminated right away? If you want to go that route, when was the last time they won a playoff game? 1995?

If you want to go that route, does it matter if they win the playoff games? Shouldn't it matter only if they win the SB in which the Cowboys have won more 5 times compared to the Raidas 3. Yeah, I'm a fan of Roy and would love to watch him flourish on a team where he has the opportunity. I mean shoot. At least the player I follow isn't sitting on the bench behind a journeyman who is 37 years old. Which leads me to the question, how in the hell does my fanhood for Roy come into this post and have any relevance? Oh wait, it doesn't. You are scrapping at the bits for anything because you know I'm correct. Seems like ever since Roy was a rookie the Raiders have had a top 5 pick LOL. BTW, I'm a Cowboys fan, and not a Lions fan so the fact that the Lions may be the one team in the NFL worse then the Raiders doesn't apply here.
I don't hop in these Raiders threads saying how bad they suck and how they won't make the playoffs.

Sorry to break it to you, but Jackson isn't my favorite player :sign0020: Everyone knows that Deangelo Hall is my favorite player. The fact remains that you cry on these Cowboys threads like it's the end of the world. The Cowboys play well, you praise them, then you're ready to throw them under the bus when they lose. I sometimes questions your lack of common sense because on previous threads your make really dumb comments. Go message your buddy Vincesanity, maybe you 2 can cry together :sign0020:

It's definately not the end of the world, and not like Hall is any better than the Dallas CB's LOL. I just get tired of the fact that you ignorant people come into threads saying how the Cowboys suck because they've lost 2 games to 2 solid teams and both by close margins. Not like getting blown out by 31 points or something . I haven't said that they suck, so I don't think I will later in the season when they have struck hot either. Their defense, and Oline is playing terribly, but I still believe the Cowboys are easily a top 10 team in the NFL with all the players healthy.
I'm done with you and these threads. If you have something to say, PM me because at this point, these threads are going no where while you babble your non-sense. Should probably be locked as well.

lol, first of all, i NEVER said the Cowboys suck. All I said was that their secondary has looked bad, and some people were not giving the Cardinals credit. And please don't even compare D-Hall to the Cowboys CBs. He has 2 ints already, which is what the entire Cowboys team has through 6 games. Like I said, you cry too much. Go hug your fruity posters

True. I haven't seen him be negative towards the Cowboys besides the DB's who have not plyed well. The Cards played tough and earned that win. Cowboys fans (myself included) can hope their team plays with that much fight. Why are the Raiders mentioned in this thread? LOL

hector234 10-14-2008, 01:07 AM My dad is a Cowboys fan, that's about it. The only player on the Cowboys I like is Terence Newman

Vincesanity 10-14-2008, 01:11 AM I like Newman 2, doesn't get the INTs but he's solid, a long list of hurt players.....so what HS did you play football at Hector

Alexander here in Laredo. Newman is great, never know why he didnt make more Pro Bowls. What school did you play at?

He didn't have the INT's or he would have. I played at Moody, between Temple and Waco, 2A school. Miss playing, wish I could go back

Corpus? I remember when i was in 8th grade, the varsity played Moody. When Chris Orduna was there, he was the leading rusher in the state. I think he used steroids though. I miss playing in high school, good times. I was amazed Newman the Pro Bowl last year considering he missed some games
Vincesanity 10-14-2008, 01:45 AM No thats 5A right......Central TX, Moody

Ah, true that. I remember we played a game against Cedric Benson's SA school. That guy was a beast, but very very stuck up

IMO it helped that he played well when he did play and that he is on the Cowboys.

I think this might be good. Now Jenkins will get more playing time
dfr52 10-14-2008, 06:46 PM The next four weeks are going to be real important for the Cowboys. Either they weather the storm and handle the adversity or the team loses and implodes. I can't wait for Sunday.
bearfield 10-17-2008, 11:36 PM the poor cowboys are not playing like a superbowl team,
maybe its because they aren't a superbowl team. ha ha ho ho.
the cowboys will be going to the superbowl, if jerry jones buys them tickets.

Any Cowboy fan will agree that they aren't playing well but how angry will you be if they make it and win?:fighting0023:

aren't playing well is an understatement, their playing sucks.
if they even make it to the playoff i will be surprised, VERY SURPRISED.
too bad jerry jones can't buy their way to the playoffs, we all know, he's tried.
the cowboys are, at the moment, a joke, much like t o and jerry jones.

You are a joke, man.
I understand we aren't playing well, but the way you define our playing is as if it's even behind the Chicago Bears. Our offense is still top notch. Top 3 offense in passing and scoring, so I'm not quite sure why you are talking. I mean, if the Cowboys are a joke at 4-2, then the Bears MUST be a joke at 3-3 in a much worse division.
PUHLEASE

Honestly bro, i don't know how some people can think that. The Cowboys don't go out and pay big money to free agents. Look at the recent signings they've made, majority are players they drafted. Newman, Barber, and Romo. Hamlin just signed a big deal because he has played great for them.
dfr52 10-18-2008, 07:52 PM We'll see how much of a joke the Cowboys are tomarrow.
bearfield 10-18-2008, 09:04 PM better yet wait 4 weeks and see how much of a joke they are. oh yeah, romo won't be back till after than. won't matter even after romo gets back, wait and see. he hasn't been that good so far. not even close to "so called" super bowl caliber.

With 10 games left there are few teams that are out of the playoff picture. These next four games will be important ones for the Cowboys.
dfr52 10-19-2008, 02:32 PM Where is their defense today? They are looking horrible.
If the Rams keep this up Bulger will have 300yd. passing, 3TDs and Jackson will go for 100+yds, 2Tds.
As Daryl Johnston commented it's the coaching.
dfr52 10-19-2008, 02:41 PM Wow! Jackson fell and still scored.:love0030:
