Just wondering if cards of players in their college uniform sell well down the road. I'm talking about cards from Donruss, UD, Topps etc. NOT Sage or Press Pass.

It seems that a lot of the early releases that have pictures in college uniforms start to lose a little value once the mid-season stuff comes out. Donruss Elite holds its value pretty well from what I can tell though.

I try to pick up cards of players in their SC uniforms for my personal collection though, so to me, they never lose value!

I guess when you have a player from a good college like SC there's a lot of value in of itself.

I agree with Steven. I collect Texas Tech stuff so doesn't matter if they are in college uni or not they will always be worthless.

Its a well known fact that once something releases that the previous release loses a bit of value. Once the end of the year a lot of that stuff is forgotten and cheaper unless they are a break out type player or a huge mega superstar IE: Adrian Peterson, Peyton Manning, Tomlinson, etc.

It holds value to a certain degree, a lot of college player or alumni collectors out there.
Overall, value tends to go down on not-so-hot players pictured in college unis.

Elite and the Donruss threads Gridiron college auto's seem to hold their value very well. As far as BV goes They are so far off it is Ridiculous. I am referring to what people pay at card shows and on Ebay.
