I'd like to know what product has the best value per pack. Meaning, what product do I have a better chance of pulling something nice out of without having to purchase a Hobby Box. I'd rather not spend big money for the Bowman Sterling or SPx. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I'll start by saying I'm a total rookie at this as well and feel what you are feeling right now. Lately I have been purchasing Donruss Classics as the cards look quite nice, nothing over the top. Also, there is not an insert per pack, but it seems to be very close to 1 per pack. And I think the best part about these is the chance to receive cards of older players along with their auto's. And if one of those is ever pulled, the value on it at least in my eyes won't diminish so quickly cause they can't break a leg anymore or completely flop.
And even though I have not purchased a pack of these, but I'm pretty sure that Upper Deck has a pack right now that gives 4 rc's per pack and 1 of 4 packs has a memorbilia or auto. I believe that's what I saw. I was tempted to purchase a few but instead went with the Classics.
Hope this helps a little. I'm sure there is much better advice out there and I'm interested to know what others think as well.

Personally, I like something like Donruss elite or gridiron gear, etc.
The reason being, there are 4++ hit per box, with not to many packs.
I HATE buying packs that have like 1 auto per box and like 24 packs per box.
If you plan on spending over 80, you might as well go to blowoutcards.com and buy a nice box of something.

I was looking to drop like $30-40 on some packs online, because it's much cheaper than walking into my local card shop and getting a few packs.
