I THINK ITS FAKE

Personally I'm getting kinda tired with these posts.

Absolute always has some sick patches and the card is #'d /5 so there is a very good chance it is real.

I will concede that the jersey looks a little wavy which is suspicous but could also just be poor QC.

Unless I see proof I'm gonna give the seller the benefit and say its real.

I understand your point, but the 2008 set is not the 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004 and so on sets. They very well could have changed something.

Just because previous year sets were one way does not mean the new set is the same.

I wouldnt touch the card with a 10 foot poll but until I see a before pic, or something from donruss playoff stating its not authentic or that they didnt use logo patches for the /5 than I can't see how you can say it is 100% fake. I'd use the term questionable lacking proof.

I love the Brandon Marshall 75 Anniversary patch. Marshall was what? 5 years old during that season? The patch faker might as well have put a World Series patch in that card.

If its an event worn jersey, throwbacks were worn at the photo shoot and I've seen several rc's of Marshall, most noteable in SP Authentic rc patches, with portions of the 75th anniversary logo in them, verified authentic. So it is possible to have this patch used for cards from his rookie year.

I've talked to Playoff about this very issue and have gotten several different stories. I spoke to them at the National this year and they were very ambiguous in their answers, just like they were in their emails. I know this explaination floated around the BMB quite a bit, but until I have a better answer from Playoff, which after emails and live discussions, hasn't happened.

It looks like a stress mark is under the S in stargazing. I think it's been doctored.

BTW, there is a way to tell if its authentic. Donruss/Playoff has a new system they started for prime patches. Send card in and for $10 plus the shipping, they will verify authenticity and encase the card with a seal. Doesn't help now, but can help if you purchase a card and want to verify authenticity.

I saw that too, but the foil can be really sensitive with Absolute, even with the improvements from last year. I've had several absolute patches and TOTT with wrinkles etc. so its hard to tell IMO.
