Waiting to make his MMA debut for quite some time now but with unforeseen circumstances standing in his way, Bobby Lashley is now set to make his Mixed Martial Arts debut.

“It’s looking like December 13th will be the date.” Lashley tells MMANews.com. “We have the contract in hand right now and we are just working out all the details but December 13th will be the date.”

Although Lashley could not go into detail about who the promotion is that he would be fighting with until the contract is officially signed, he did give a few details about the show.

Who knows how well he'd do, but i'll watch just because i've seen him wrestle. I like watching fights where you know who they are, not just two guys you've never heard of.

I don't know how well he'll do. A lot of people thought Lesnar would be a joke, but people forget that he was a national wrestling champion on college. We'll just wait and see.

Lashley should do well, however his career will depend on who he even fights for.

He's going to have to prove himself. This sure isn't professional wrestling.
He might have the tools, but he has to be able to put them together and have the heart and desire to win. Steriods and all the other crap that he put into his body while providing sports entertainment doesn't cut it here, so big muscles isn't going to make too much of a difference in the cage for him. It's going to be a tough transition. We're just going to have to wait and see what happens. I wish him the best....

He won't survive, maybe he'll win a couple fights but i just don't see him as an MMA fighter. And lesnar was always a beast he fits much better in MMA then Wrestling.

it appears lashley will be starting at the small shows so i think he will be alright. He is young enough to take time to grow all his skills. With his size and wrestling background, if he is committed to his stand up and his BJJ he might be a force in 3 years or so.
