3-7 DAL10 (7:27) (Shotgun) PENALTY on DAL-F.Adams, False Start, 5 yards, enforced at DAL 10 - No Play.

Barber is going to get his stats this week because he will be shut down on running downs. Then on third good ole coach is going to say he can't trust Johnson's arm. So they will run the ball with Barber who tampa will allow him to get his yards but not the first down. He is a good RB but he is no where near top in the league like most dallas fans think.

I think you need to settle down on your cave talk though. This adds nothing to the discussion other than trying to rip into someone.

If the Offense can't sustain a drive the D will wear down and FG will b/c TD's.

Not top of this list. Top in the league is what I meant by that. For some reason they think he is a god but he is a product of a system. He gets his yards when Romo is QB. Defenses can't stop that team when they have a real QB. Barber gets his yards because of this. Not his fault but put him on a team like san fran and he will be no where near as productive as a RB like Gore.

dfr52

Lucky play. Brooks is two good to let that happen again (hopefully we don't see a pass like that at the end of the game if it is a close one). Wow almost another one-that's scary.

I have never read or seen anything like that before. He's a bruishing back who can create yards on his own. He can also contribute in the passing game.

Yeah but on any other team he is a mediocre RB. Not only would i take those five guys before him I would take these Rookies before him also:

Slaton
Forte
Chris Johnson

Well first off Jones is a trash overrated Dallas RB. His stats were very screwy due to him splitting carries with Barber. And him being #1 for fantasy is cool. I never knew fantasy was a way to rank players. I would take Portis over Barber every time.

dfr52

And the bad D returns on third down to allow a big gain but does limit the Bucs to a FG.

dfr52
10-26-2008, 04:19 PM
Johnson is not getting it done at all. He doesn't have a turnover but he's not really contributing either.

And he under throws Owens which leads to the break-up.

dfr52
10-26-2008, 04:25 PM
Garcia had way too much time on third down. This drive by the Cowboys needs to at least move the ball so the Bucs aren't starting in Cowboys territory-and they don't. Any other Cowboys' fans getting annoyed by the lack of offensive production?

Solid pass rush on third down.

dfr52
10-26-2008, 04:37 PM
A draw? Again the play selection is questionable. Why not a QB sneak for 2 inches?

Stop trying to run Barber outside and do something about Johnson this is painful to watch.

dfr52
10-26-2008, 04:49 PM
Cowboys can't allow plays of ten plus yards on this drive. Ware needs to show up here. Tampa's tackles have really shut him down today.

Bucs get it done on 4th down.

Good game Dallas. I love to bash you guys because you guys are so passionate about your team. I will give credit where it is due. Offense is still questionable under Johnson's command and Barber is struggling with him under center. But the defense finally made a stand and won a game for them. Good game.

I am sooooo upset right now. I cannot believe the Bucs couldn't get the ball in the end zone. And I know I will definately be in the minority here, but those calls against the Bucs at the end of the 2nd half were VERY questionable in my opinion. The illegal touch on Talib was rediculous as there is always contact downfield on passes and the ball was nowhere near catchable. The personal foul on June was crap to, its football, let the players play.

I will give credit where credit is due and say the Dallas defense played very well and the Bucs offense was flat. Congrats on the win Dallas.

The O-Line played very well in the first half but down the stretch, Dallas was only rushing 4 and putting major pressure on Garcia causing bad throws. I am not really sure what happened to the fire the Bucs had in the first half but I can tell you that the fumbled kickoff return didn't help at all.

My quick rundown of the game:

Good game.
Brad Johnson sucks.
Roy had a couple of nice snags.
Defense showed up.
Brad Johnson still sucks.
MBIII could not get going today, but displayed a couple of hard runs.
Witten is out, and that could be a huge problem.
Brad Johnson is so bad. He expects everybody to be 9 feet tall with a 6 foot vertical.
Wade Phillips needs to continue his defensive playcalling. Couldn't get a ton of pressure for most part, but it was enough.
Bummed that DWare didn't get his 10th consecutive game with a sack. Was close on the last play of the game for the Buccs, but Garcia got it off.

5-3 moving into a game with the Giants I believe. Don't see how we will get away with this. Not too good to go into a bye with a loss, but at least Romo should be back against the Skins. After the 'Skins games it should be a couple of easy wins against the 9'ers, and Seahawks but then we have to end the season with games against Steelers, Giants, Ravens and Eagles. I will be extremely content getting away with this season as just a wild card team. Maybe we can finally strike some damage in the playoffs because we aren't the team who is expected to win.

I mean, it's injury after injury after injury. Cowboys aren't used to this, so this is a big time especially with all the teams around us winning. I will be extremely pleased with a Wild Card spot at this rate. We lost our MVP in Romo for 3 games, Felix is out 2-4 weeks, Pro-Bowl punter McBriar is out for the year. Now if it's Witten, this season is going downhill faster and faster. After the bye week, to make the playoffs, we better win almost every game with Romo or else I just don't see how we will make it.

Here is my list for RB's

Portis
Peterson
Gore
Jacobs
Jackson
Barber

He is good but there are a couple above him.

Honestly, I do think that Barber is better than Jacobs for sure, and maybe even Gore. Nor do I believe that Barber is a systematic back. He gained every single one of those 71 yards today because he is running behind the most underperforming Oline I've seen. They couldn't open up a hole for him for their life. Jacobs is good, and a **** big runner, but he just seems way too slow and sometimes incapable of getting the short yardage that is needed. I'd replace Jacobs with Westy on that list. Not too mention, Jacobs is running behind the best OL in the game. I love Barber, and I do think he is easily one of the top 10 in the NFL, and maybe even a top 5 back at this time. He seems to be putting up solid stats with such a dismal offense that makes the defense aim toward stopping the run which is the only bright spot of this offense. Barber makes plays when they matter, and he is one of the toughest runners in the NFL.

Clinton Portis
Adrian Peterson
Brian Westbrook
Steven Jackson
Marion Barber

What I really don't understand is how people put Adrian Peterson that high on the list. He has played in the NFL one season. He is inconsistant and he has showed that this year. It really aggravates me when you put a player that young on a list of top players in the league. There is no way in my opinion that AP is better than Brian Westbrook or LaDainain Tomlinson (who somehow isn't on your list??).

Really? Inconsistent?

Week 1: 103 Rushing-1 TD
Week 2: 160 Rushing
Week 3: 77 Rushing (vs. Carolina, great run D)
Week 4: 80 Rushing- 2 TD (vs. Titans D, best in the league)
Week 5: 32 Rushing
Week 6: 111 Rushing
Week 7: 121 Rushing- 2 TD (vs. Bears D)

So 1 bad game so far and hes inconsistent lol...
