View Full Version : Who has the best looking signature?
Stl_Cardinals_Fan 11-03-2008, 06:27 PM I'm going to do an article on who I think has the best looking signatures when it comes to TTM and stuff.
So post away....post examples of the signature too, don't just say who you think does, provide proof.
bigga 11-03-2008, 06:55 PM I would have to say Pat Neshek has the best signature.

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m231/bigga002/TTM%20Autos/fullname.jpg
RockiesFan33 11-03-2008, 07:25 PM I think Stan Williams has one of the nicer signatures I've seen.

Carnage38 11-03-2008, 07:41 PM fransico garcia on the sacremento kings

tikitomoka 11-03-2008, 07:48 PM lenny wilkins has a nice one
http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn127/tikitomok/TTM%20and%20IP%20NFT/img132.jpg
geno hayes
http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn127/tikitomok/TTM%20and%20IP%20NFT/img112.jpg
and Adam West

Stl_Cardinals_Fan 11-03-2008, 08:12 PM All good suggestions....keep the ball rolling.

Craan 11-03-2008, 08:39 PM Mariano Rivera
that sig is sweet.
I heard on the Michael Kay show once, that he likes to take his time and write out his full name everytime he signs because he knows how much the fans mean to the game.
chrisborene 11-03-2008, 08:52 PM My favorite sigs off all time would have to be either brooklyn dodgers carl erskine, or current l.a. Dodger jason repko
Cubbieblue29 11-03-2008, 09:47 PM I would have to say Jacque Jones whose pic is not working right now and Alejandro De Aza
demonpower55 11-03-2008, 10:49 PM I've always loved Joba Chamberlain's signature.
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj152/demonpower55/Autographs%20through%20email/sc0013f59c.jpg
iowa49erfan 11-03-2008, 10:53 PM I always thought that Jimmy Johnson had one of the better ones.
http://i6.ebayimg.com/08/i/001/11/9d/efb8_1.JPG
I also think that Cody Pickett has a nice signature as well.
http://i8.ebayimg.com/07/i/000/fc/01/567a_1.JPG
harrid4 11-06-2008, 11:11 PM My favorite is Felix Hernandez (center ball below)
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj97/harrid4/ROMLB%20Autos%20-%20NFT/P1000836.jpg
kingsfaninri 11-07-2008, 01:42 PM I would think that the #1 criteria for a good signature is legibility. It is difficult to find a combination of legibility and artistry which is why so few autographs are truly "nice" in my eyes.
Here's an example of one without the other, Scott Kazmir. Nice looking sig, but not the easiest to read......
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t288/kingsfaninri/baseball%20cards/HTG/kazmir9-7.jpg
Another one who has a cool-looking but totally illegible autograph is Jonathan Papelbon...
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t288/kingsfaninri/Personal%20Collection%20NOT%20AVAILABLE/CopyofCCI00350_edited.jpg
Yet another nice but hard-to-read sig is Cecil Fielder. Looks cool, but what does it say?...
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t288/kingsfaninri/Personal%20Collection%20NOT%20AVAILABLE/TTMs/baseball/TedandCecil_edited.jpg
Perhaps the worst (even worse that Felix Pie) is NHLer Daniel Sedin. I think it's written in shorthand or maybe WingDings....
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/yerrod/Cards/Hockey/Auto/Photo6.jpg
The guy I collect, Eric Byrnes, has neither artistry nor legibility. Some are flat-out 45-degree scribbles; this is one of his nicer ones....
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t288/kingsfaninri/baseball%20cards/Game%20Used/traded/Byrnesie.jpg
Don Mattingly has a nice sig that is easier to read than many.....
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t288/kingsfaninri/baseball%20cards/Game%20Used/traded/DonnieBaseball_edited.jpg
The late Johnny Podres also had a nice and easy-to-read sig....
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t288/kingsfaninri/baseball%20cards/Game%20Used/traded/JohnnyPodres_edited.jpg
two hockey players have nice, legible and artistic sigs, Gordie Howe and Dave Taylor....
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t288/kingsfaninri/Personal%20Collection%20NOT%20AVAILABLE/MrHockeyIPA.jpg
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t288/kingsfaninri/Personal%20Collection%20NOT%20AVAILABLE/Stitchontheway.jpg
One of my favorites is Lindy McDaniel. In this pic it's a bit hard to see, but you can see every letter and it just looks nice....
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t288/kingsfaninri/Personal%20Collection%20NOT%20AVAILABLE/TTMs/baseball/Lindy.jpg
Kent Tekulve also has a nice sig. If you know who he is you can make it out....
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t288/kingsfaninri/Personal%20Collection%20NOT%20AVAILABLE/TTMs/baseball/tekehouse_edited.jpg
By far, my favorite is this one, Dave Dravecky. It is my favorite because you have to take into consideration that it is signed right-handed by a man who is naturally left-handed.....
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t288/kingsfaninri/Personal%20Collection%20NOT%20AVAILABLE/TTMs/baseball/Dravecky_edited.jpg
Have I opined enough for you? LOL

If only he could learn to sign the middle of the cut/stickers so that it fit into the boxes..

Cubbieblue29 11-08-2008, 01:07 AM Another one I love that is probably my favorite is Todd Helton

pronk48mvp 11-10-2008, 06:25 PM Of all my TTM successes, John Farrell is by far the nicest!
http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb187/pronk48mvp/TTM%20autos/SundaySeptember21200824.jpg
And of all the cards that I can't seem to trade, Jose Cueto wins there!

hodee 11-11-2008, 04:44 AM I'm a little partial to Colts autographs.... Raymond Berry has one of the cleanest autos around, and Johnny Unitas isn't half bad either......
http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p164/hodee5/niceautos1.jpg
Just had to add another Berry in there! My custom SB XX mini helmet, Bears side signed by Da Coach......
http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p164/hodee5/berrymini1.jpg
I always thought Kordell Stewart had a nice auto.......
http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p164/hodee5/contestconf6.jpg
And always a "Sweet" autograph.....a lot of pun intended!
http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p164/hodee5/Mailday/payton1.jpg
YellowSuge 11-11-2008, 01:02 PM I like Griffey's sig. (personal bias)

Edwards2Evans 02-18-2009, 10:51 PM Trent Edwards has a great sig, especially for a current player:
