Would Jamaal Charles RB Kansas City Chiefs be a good free agent pick up? I saw on ESPN they said to pick him up. Will he produce and score pts this week. I am short handed at RB.

If you're league is like mine, he's by far the best out there. LJ is still out, Kolby Smith is out, he's all they got. And it's not like their passing game is going to make up the slack. He should be a good play, I think he'll get opportunities because he's an unproven rookie...they won't be stacking the box like they would against LJ.

Unfortunately, my team is 5-4 because of some bad judgement calls on my part. I also picked up Charles and Kevin Smith to fill in the Bye week gaps with the losses of Barber and Portis.

Normally, you hear SD and think "defense" but not this season. They've been pretty soft against the run...I think he's a safe pickup.

He is a good play this week if you are really need a back bad. However, I read that Herm Edwards has not ruled out bring LJ back after week 10. Charles may just be a one week fill in.

Actually I just read that LJ will be back for Week 11...so maybe only a one week fill in, but you could still do a lot worse for that.
