Why Darin collects Jason Kendall: It was back in 1993 when I started. I was only a couple years into collecting baseball cards. I got a pack of 1993 Topps baseball cards, and pulled his rookie card. I still have that same card to this day. Anyways, at the time I wasn’t sure why, but had a feeling that I was going to be a fan of his and that I should collect what I could get of him. That was interesting at the time because I wasn’t much of a collector of an individual.

Why would he want Jason Kendall?

Because to some people they dont need to collect the guy that earns the biggest paycheck on the team or the guy that everyone talks about because he hit .300 hits 40 hr's and 100 rbi's. Maybe its because Kendall is a gamer and plays the game the right way. I collect Lo Duca because the guy is a gamer and does what ever he has to to make the team better. He doesnt put up huge numbers but the guy plays hard and does all the little things.

Thanks, Pete, and as for my McMurray collection, I have already tried after a lot like you were convinced it was super collector worthy. However, I removed my entry after getting denied because it didn't meet with the "guidelines" in place. It was mostly with the required percentages that are set for it. I have a little more than 70% overall for McMurray, but didn't have the 75% or more for both the numbered & samples part or the race used & autographs part. I have the percentage though for the base. Based on my wants for that collection, I'm not even sure how soon (if ever) I will be qualified for it. Oh well, and at least you can't say that I didn't try because I did. Thanks again, Pete!

Also, while I may not be a super collector to SCF in racing, I feel that I am one to the people, and right now that means more to me than the badge and recognition for it. I'll keep working on my McMurray collection though and hopefully someday get in, but until then I am proud to be one of the peoples' super collectors in racing.
