I would like to congratulate WestCoastSkinsFans, for being a Super Collector of Otis Amey. When asked why do you collect Otis Amey, Samuel had a great answer.

I graduated from California State University Sacramento, same place as Otis. Went to school just about the same time as him, too. He's been the only name to come out of that school for years that stood a shot at getting to the pros, so I followed his whole experience from trying out for teams to making the cut with San Francisco, to getting onto the 53 man roster after the preseason, and eventually, being the first ever 49er to score the first time he touched the ball in the regular season. Once I seriously started collecting cards again, I figured it'd be a fitting tribute (and my one display of school pride) to collect the guy's stuff. Been chipping away at the list ever since.

Congrats to Samuel on this unique collection and great accomplishment. We wish you luck as you continue to collect more from your Alma Mater! Please Congratulate Samuel and if you have cards he needs let him know.

Same as #1, the 1/1 Contenders auto.

Sadly, he has none.

5. What is the best story in regards to obtaining a specific card?

I've always been amused when someone tries to pump value from their cards. The 1/1 Contenders auto, I originally made an offer on about a year before I actually acquired it. The guy wanted something in the hundreds and quickly rejected my initial offer, calling it insulting and talked about the bright future that Amey had with the team and how he was likely going to be starting soon, etc. I guess he didn't know that by that point, he hadn't been with the team (or any NFL team, sadly) for quite some time. When they reposted it on eBay, he accepted my offer which was a fraction of my original offer.

6. What is your best "steal" for your collection?

I got the entire Prestige rainbow in one shot on a single eBay auction for something like $8 shipped. Also, when the Gold Status Elite RC surfaced, I immediately offered the guy like $12 to end the auction early and he wouldn't have any part of it. I put a pretty substantial max bid on it and hoped... and it ended up going for 99 cents.

7. What is the most expensive card in your collection...what did it cost you?

Yet again, the 1/1 Contenders auto. I believe I paid about $40.

8. What one specific card has eluded you till this day? and why?

For whatever reason, I cannot get his Playoff Honors base RC. I've only been ripped off via online trading once, and it was for that card. Oddly, I later tried to buy it on Naxcom, and the guy had to back out because he lost it.

9. What specific card (non base) do you have the most of?

I've got a bunch of his standard Contenders auto. I think 8-10.

10. How do you store your collection?

Every card that can be is in a penny sleeve in a top loader. For this collection, I get really picky about the top loaders I use. They need to be super clean. The nicer things, like his Exquisite autos and the Contenders 1/1 auto are in magnetic or screw-down cases.
