View Full Version : Buffalo Bills Threadd
billsfan2006 06-17-2003, 01:19 PM Hi all,
I'm so excited for this years Bills team I had to start a thread for them. I want to hear what everyone thinks of the bills this year... And whats everyones predictions? SO far my predictions are bills are going to win AFC EAst they'll go 13-3 or better... Williams will lead them to the superbowl (hopefully) travis, olandis and Later in the year McGahee comes and plays and tehy all run great htsi year... I think bledsoe is going to have another amazing year... I also think that Bobby Shaw is going to have a break out year... or James Jett or whoever is the third WR:p Well thats it for now... everyone lets hear what you have to say about the biils
pwaldo 06-17-2003, 01:27 PM Well its good to know that there is another Bills fan on here.
I hope they do well this year but I am worried about Miami. That is a very dangerous team which could make the Super Bowl.
podstock 06-17-2003, 01:48 PM I think the Raiders can make it to the Super Bowl again.
Looks like Tim Brown may be replaced by Jerry Porter as starting WR opposite the incomparable Rice
And the secondary of the Raiders (esp. Buchanon and Charles Woodson) should be healthy starting the season.
not too worried about the Dolphins -- they start out great; then fizzled once 8 games are played

Yeah but the Raiders aren't in the Bills division.
This is the Bills Thread.
So Miami will provide a challange for them. If they can beat Miami and win the division then I don't see why they can't beat the Raiders in the playoffs especially if they get hold field advantage.
LOL now I am getting way to ahead of myself.
I should just be saying that as long as the Bills make the postseason I'll be happy but part of me will be disappointed if they don't get further than that.
studin 06-17-2003, 02:46 PM Because Toronto does not have an NFL team I cheer for Buffalo. I'm not a big NFL guy but I am somewhat knowledgible. I think losing Peerless Price is gonna hurt us but its gonna be fun to see him and Vick hook up in Atlanta. It sux cuz my bro is a Falcons fan. I can't wait to see how Spikes turns out too.

The loss of Price will hurt the team but they already had an awesome offense.
With the money they saved from Price they picked up Spikes who I think will turn around their defense.
If they had a defense they would have been in the playoffs last year.
billsfan2006 06-17-2003, 02:58 PM Yea... the bills have one of the best depths at lb... what team besides maybe miami and tampa can beat spikes, fletcher, and posey... barely anyone... fletcher and spikes alone are amazing
hockeyrules9911 06-22-2003, 07:53 PM The bills do have a great LB core but they also have VERY good running backs. I do not fully understand why the Bills would draft Willis when they already have travis henry who proved himself as a pro bowl back. But either way BILLS ALL THE WAY!
billsfan2006 06-22-2003, 07:57 PM hockey... you're forgetting the bills HAVE THE TOP GUY IN NFL EUROPE AT RB HELL YA... BILLS ALL THE WAY
hockeyrules9911 06-22-2003, 08:00 PM That's right i totally forgot about the guy they had in NFL europe too. DAMN they've got some good backs!!

I didn't get that either.
Right now they have Henry as the starter and I think Morris and Bryson as the backups plus the draft pick of McGahee.
Maybe they will see what Henry does and if he stays healthy and plays well they could trade McGahee and some of the back up RB's for some other positions they need.
But if Henry has a bad year or gets injured they could use McGahee next year instead and get rid of Henry.
billsfan2006 06-22-2003, 08:04 PM the bills will never get rid of henry... trhey might do switch off and on next year if henry plays bad... teh only problem so far with henry has been he fumbles... we'll see... the bills have the most potential at rb throughout the league... i agree though tath they need players at other Position... such as WR;.. reed and moulds dont cut it for me
hockeyrules9911 06-22-2003, 08:14 PM Fumbles have been a problem for Henry but he is only around 26 and has many good years left in him. I'm sure he can fix the fumble problem and become an even more dominant RB

Well I never said they would get rid of him but just have McGahee as insurance incase something bad ever happened.
If McGahee comes back from his injury and the Bills have Henry and McGahee running great then they can trade away McGahee for a player that plays a position that they are lacking in.
Remember many teams were afraid of McGahee because of his injury but if he was at full strength he could have been in the top 4.
hockeyrules9911 06-22-2003, 08:26 PM yes that is a good point. If Mcgahee can play well and prove himself as the player he was before his injuery then the Bills could trade him for a very good player
billsfan2006 06-22-2003, 08:28 PM or they can trade HENRY HAHA... I THINK MCGAHEE HAS BETTER POTENTIAL THEN HENRY because he is much bigger then henry... more powerfull... and what can u all tell me about this guy in Europe all i knjow he leads teh league in yards... things i would like to know is... naem, team hes on.... hit attributes... that would be great if someone can give me these
hockeyrules9911 06-23-2003, 01:38 AM I would also like to know about the running back in NFL europe. and just because he lead NFL europe in rushing doesn't mean that can transfer into a good NFL career because the level of play is much higher in the NFL compared to NFL Europe. Also i do not think henry should be traded. He has already proved himself as a Quality probowl back. Magahee has not proven anything. He is expendable and not Henry
studin 06-23-2003, 10:46 AM Yeah until McGahee can prove himself the Bills would be smart to keep Henry.
hockeyrules9911 06-30-2003, 01:35 AM Yea that would be in the best intrest of the team. Henry is a very good back
supermegadork 07-01-2003, 04:11 PM I think Josh Reed will do fine replacing Price. Price had 2 poor years before he broke out last year, and I think his improvement was well attributed to Bledsoe. Rob sack me Johnson straight up SUX. I liked Flutie though, but with that continual qb controversy, they could never keep anybody on the same wavelength.
Reed had an awesome game against the Vikings last year, and I think he will do well this year too. I also don't know where McGahee came from, but maybe if they both turned out good, next year they could trade away one of them for a star on defense.
hockeyrules9911 07-01-2003, 09:54 PM I agree that Reed should have no problem stepping up and replacing peerless price
billsfan2006 07-27-2003, 06:47 PM I wanted to get this board going agian now that its closer to the beginning of the year... so far i've heard this from the bills...
Greg Williams is in his last year of his contract if he doesnt make the playoffs he's out of here... do u all agree with this or not... i surely dont...
Willis McGahee wont being playing until octoberish or none at all... especially with the contract situation
Brandon Spoon is happy with where he's at on the depth chart... looking to make an impact as a backup...
does ne one have ne thing else to add?
hockeyrules9911 07-28-2003, 01:43 PM Keep greg williams he has done very well and i would really hate to see him out the door. He has done a good job and does not deserve to be kicked out if he doesn't make the playoffs. Willis probably won't play at all. Which is ok i guess but i still don't understand the logic behind drafting him. lol but whatever. Go BILLS!!
billsfan2006 07-28-2003, 01:46 PM THE BILLS #1 REASON I THINK FOR DRAFTING WILLIS IS TRADE BAIT... A LOT OF PEOPLE DIDNT TRUST HIM NOW BUT WHEN HE IS 100% HE WILL BE DOMINATING AND I BET TEAMS LIKE DETROIT WILL BE KNOCKING ON THE BUFFALO BILLS DOOR WAITING TO DO A TRADE FOR MCGAHEE... GO BILLS LOL
hockeyrules9911 07-28-2003, 01:50 PM I guess he is trade material but they just could have drafted someone good in a possition they needed. But maybe they can trade Willis for a good player. But he could be a totoal bust.
billsfan2006 08-10-2003, 10:57 PM Well.. one game is done for the pre-season... I would like to here what u all thought of the gaem... who impressed u... who didnt
well i thought the game was ok... they bills looked good even though henry wasnt playing... I was very excited to see Gash back in the backfield... PAt Williams played like he was 200 lbs running up and down the field... The person who really surprised me was Clearance Colemna... this guy was catching everything Brown through him he also had that one punt return.,.. another person who suprised me on SPecial Teams was sammy morris he had a great kick off return to the 50 yard line... o course this was a SPecail Teams day and the GAME BALL would go out to Antonio Brown with the 87 yrd punt return td... I gave him that luck because I was prolly the first person to reconize him as a bill and ask for his Auto at training camp lol... i prolly will always be the only guy to ask hiom for his auto unless he gets good... well let me here what u other bills fans thought of the game... also Football fans can tell me throw out their opinion
hockeyrules9911 08-11-2003, 01:14 AM I thought it was a good game. A touchdown for there other good running abck Olandis gary WOW they have so many good backs. lol Hey where does buffalo do camp?? I really wanted to go but i never have any time and didn't even check where it was.
billsfan2006 08-11-2003, 11:40 AM its in rochester, NY
hockeyrules9911 08-11-2003, 01:02 PM Ok so i am not that far away from it then.
