Any Martin Brodeur collectors have an opinion on the auto?????

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=160302890874&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=006 (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?type=3&campid=5335896190&toolid=10001&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2FeBayISAPI.dl l%3FViewItem%26rd%3D1%26item%3D160302890874%26ssPa geName%3DSTRK%3AMEWN%3AIT%26ih%3D006)

I put in the minimum bid and didn't expect to win.....Bad title = sweet steal. No cert from what I can see but the sig matches the certified ones I pulled up online and that framing and matting is alone is more than what I paid w/ shipping for this item. Plus I do not think someone would spend that much $$$ to frame a fake. I am pretty happy with this one to hang in my man cave.

Thoughts guys and gals??????

That's nice!

Does it not include a COA though?

Compared to cetified autograph cards it looks about spot on....except the seperation of the M to the T in Martin....but if he was say at a show, he may have taken more time to sign his name, as opposed to signing a gizillion cards for Upper Deck at one sitting. I figured the frame and matting alone would cost $100 so I thought it was worth the risk since the sig was comparable to those online.
I have been pretty lucky buying basebal and football pieces like this in the past, but never bought hockey so I hope this one ends up being a winner too.

some places will stick the COA between the back of the picture and frame. the seller might not have remembered to pull it out (if it's even there). that'd be the first place to check when it comes it. either way, for that price it wouldn't bother me too much. congrats on the excellent pickup.

That auto is 100% authentic. The separation of the M and T in his autos is something I started seeing on cards signed in the past year or two. but yea definitely a great steal there. pictures, especially ones without coa's dont sell terribly well, but that one is easily worth $50-$75 so congrats. kind of funny though "nj goalie", was this guy trying not to make any money? its not like its a kevin weekes auto, its the greatest goalie to ever play, you'd think putting his name in the title would help.

gregmal05...I appreciate and thank you for your input..... you helped to make me feel that much better about my purchase. I sent an email to the seller to see if there is a cert and if not how did he/she come into owning the piece. Maybe I will have to go to a show JSA is at and get it authenticated. I think it would be well worth it. Thanks again....

Yeah I agree on your other point too, I cannot believe he Brodeur's name in the auction body but not in the title....

Comparing it to my 06-07 Ultimate Signatures it looks spot on with only minor signing descrepencies. I would say you got the real deal. Nice pick up

Yes I agree a heck of a deal to get a auto of that Devils Goalie guy. He might turn out to be a good one someday.

I agree it's a steal, the frame and matt alone is 30-35$ just for the materials, appears professionally done so that would be over 100$ at in that goalies pic and auto, probably retailed for 200$. I've picked up some pieces framed and matted like that and they usually run in that range or higher. Great pick up.

Nice pick up and as you said why would someone matte and frame a fake to only get 25 dollars back.

Picture arrived yesterday and it looks sweet!!! Frame looks like new, no scratches and a clear autograph. No cert tho, but between from what some board members have said on this post and my own research, I am confident to the autos legitimacy. I spoke to the seller who was selling this for a third party and she said the original owner of the piece told her that he got this signed at a sports expo in North Jersey a couple years ago. Luckily enuff she is going to check with him to see if he possibly took a photo of Martin signing or if he still had the autograph ticket somewhere.

This sure does look good hanging on the wall!!!!:party0048:

I definitly think it's real, here is his auto signed in 96 that I know it's real.

Like other mentioned the differences is explainable but the letters are really on the spot.

Looks real to me too. If there are subtle differences between yours and Luc's it's nothing to worry about, as autographs can evolve over time and they can sign differently in different situations (flat on a table, in a rush, trying to hold up a photo while signing, etc)
