View Full Version : kidd or payton markc45 03-09-2003, 09:29 PM whos better kidd or payton...they are both old grego 03-09-2003, 09:46 PM Kidd. Better passer and rebounder. Payton. Better shot and defensively. I'd personally rather have Kidd. He has a magical affect on his teammates. eegro369 03-09-2003, 10:14 PM i d take kid plunge 03-10-2003, 08:38 AM Kidd any day. nyyanks 03-10-2003, 10:42 AM Kidd is a better team player, the Glove is awesome but he doesn't make his teammates better the way Kidd does!!! mtduff4208 03-10-2003, 02:37 PM id take payton in a heartbeat...he can be scorer when u need it and a passer when u need it...he is also a great defensive player cheesiehead 03-10-2003, 04:29 PM payton goirish48 03-10-2003, 06:48 PM kidd hes alot better he has mvp type seasons many years bassmaster 03-10-2003, 07:07 PM Lets see, Payton went to Oregon State, Kidd went to Cal. I went to Oregon State and don't have a lot of use for our Southern neighbors. I'll give you one guess as to what my answer would be. BrenFinn 03-11-2003, 04:00 PM 3 years ago i wouldve taken payton now definatly kidd jdfan123 03-11-2003, 04:13 PM jason kidd in a heartbeat markc45 03-12-2003, 07:09 PM finn theyre both like the same age---madd old markc45 03-12-2003, 07:09 PM but yeah payton was better 3 years ago Garycolemanx 03-31-2003, 02:42 AM It all depends on the team, Kidd Needs high flying wing men and Payton needs scorers that play defense. Really it's a coin toss, bothare great but since the Nets are my TEAM, I have to say Kidd. j.e.lew 03-31-2003, 02:51 AM Who the hell posted that there the same age? Payton was a rookie in 1989-90. Kidd was a rookie in 1994-95. Thats a 5 year span, The game changed so nuch in that time, You cant compare them! Just like compareing Jordan and Kobe. The hell with Kobe, Jordan did all that at Kobe's age, Why compare them Now? It's a 16 year age difference. I'd take both and put them around People that could play the game. Not Players that need someone to make them better! podstock 03-31-2003, 02:55 AM I'd take Payton over Kidd Payton --- scorer, passer, and one hell of a defense Kidd -- average scorer, great passer, average defense llcooljoe 04-17-2003, 05:33 PM i dont know i'd take both of them any day Card Crazy 05-14-2003, 10:25 PM Kidd slightly edges out Payton in this one. Kidd isn't a high scorer, but he has a dangerous jump shot and passes the ball unlike anyone in the league right now. Payton is the higher scorer, but the Glove doesn't make his teammates better like JKidd does. whitechocolate 05-16-2003, 03:22 AM i agree about the kobe and jordan thing but i think that if i had to take either j kidd or g payton i would take kidd without question JimBob45 05-23-2003, 01:59 PM Kidd YankeePride 05-23-2003, 03:54 PM I keep reading about Payton's defense ... what about Kidds? He is All-Defensive, and his D on the final shot vs. Detroit in Game 2 sums it all up. And as for Payton's scoring - teams with scoring point guards don't win championships. When was the last time that happened? It might happen this year with Tony Parker, but I wouldn't exactly call him a true scorer yet. cardtrader 05-27-2003, 09:40 PM kidd is much better reezy 06-02-2003, 01:01 AM Kidd ...i can't name 5 players i'd rather have on me team than jason kidd...just my opinion mjblaze 06-02-2003, 09:11 AM If they were the same age, I'd take Payton. They're not, so I'll take Kidd. AlwaysaBucksFan 06-02-2003, 05:25 PM I'd take Kidd also. He's good all the way around. Maybe Payton was better in his younger years but I didn't know much about him then. If we are talking now, Kidd wins hands down. Payton has a tuff time making a lay up these days and doesn't know when to shut up. I hope he does go to LA. We got Desmond Mason and he was the TRUE deal in that trade! |
