I'm pretty excited, I made it to my first Championship Game. I've been playing seriously for about 4 years now (maybe only three, can't remember), only 1 or 2 leagues per year, and I've won my division before and had good years, but never made it to the big game. In my defense, when I started, I didn't keep up with the NFL at all really...only started playing because a few friends did. I've always been more of a college guy, but FF has evened that out real fast...best marketing tool the NFL has in my opinion.
So, I wanted to hear about everybody else's Championship experience. How many years have you played, how many leagues per year, how many Championship games have you made it to, and what's your record in them? For me, 4 years, 1-2 leagues per year (6-7 leagues total), this is my first Championship game, and I'll let you know on Tuesday what my record is :winking0071:

I have been playing fantasy football since 1996. Back in the days when we had to calculate scores using the box scores in the paper and Brett Favre was the #1 pick. lol Started with one league but gradually expanded each year. I am now doing about 5 leagues each year with the majority for money($700 invested). I don't remember how many times I made it to the championships but I know I have won 10 titles.
This year I was in 5 leagues and made it to the finals in 4 of them. Got knocked out in round 1 of the other league. I cut deals to chop the money in 2 of them and playing the games out for bragging rights. Should have a decent profit.
Good Luck to everyone in their championship games.

I finally made it to a championship game this year after about 4 yrs. of playing. I'll find out after Monday if I won or not. No money involved but I'm still excited about it.

Well hallelujah, I've won my first championship! The final ended up 134-93 as my competition had some bad luck w/players (Barber for that game, but throughout the season Brady and Graham going down too).
I started the season 2-6, basically figuring at that point that it was all a waste of time. Then my team came together and I went 5-1 to finish the regular season at 7-7 and had the tie breaker to get into the playoffs as the #4 seed. I beat the #1 and the #3 seed to win the championship. My team just started rolling at the right time, which is all it takes. In one of my other leagues, the champion was 6-7 in the regular season and pulled off the same thing I did.
The entry fee was a $20+ GU or RC and my share of that will be 6 of them (3 to 2nd place and 1 to 3rd). So I'm coming away with some pretty nice cards, but that's nothing compared to the relief of finally winning one! Hope everybody else fared as well.

I lost  :mmph: :mad2: :frusty: (I think those smileys sum it up pretty well haha). The final score ended up being 229.25 to my 198.5. I started off 1-3 then I won 2 in a row to get back to 3-3 and I stayed at about .500 win percentage all year. I entered the playoffs with a 7-7 record and being the #5 seed (6 teams made it). I beat the #4 seed then the #2 seed and lost in the championship to the #3 seed. The entry fee was $20 and I am getting $25 for coming in second so, all in all, I gained $5. Congrats on winning your championship OnePimp!!

Won 2 of the 3 finals I was in that had cash prizes. The other won on SCF, Jay(prophet) beat me. I cut deals for the money in the 2 that I won and played the other one out and lost. Figures. Still, came out on top money wise.
Congrats One Pimp. You were running with some bad luck this year. It's nice when your team goes on a streak at the right moment.
