OK, Guys an gals! I was unsure at first, if I would respond to this post. I decided that I needed to. This is the old catch 22. I can not please you all! I decided to post a success email address after a few PM's hit me saying that the adress was not posted. I thought we already had it listed, but now we do! We share many email addresses and snail mail adddresses in this portion of the site. We try to help each other grow our collections. That is what an autograph community does. We have had others try to trade members this email address and others. I choose to share my addresses for free. I will not be upset with others who do not share. I do at the same time hope that you all realize that we can not have it both ways. I will remove any snail mail or email address that is requested for me to do so by the person recieving it. Those of you who do not want an email address or snail mail address of an celebrity, why are you in this section? That is what we do here! In the TTM section of Autograph Central we share information to help each other grow our collections. Thank you all for what you have helped me add to my collection and my decision stands that the email address will not be deleted unless requested by the recipient!

Seconded again, I had the pleasure of watching him play at WCU, and western has a ****ty autograph policy for student athletes, guest speakers and the sort, The first black Astronaut came to our school for a presentation, Wouldnt let him sign after. Hinder/Puddle off mudd and WCW also were impossible to get to before and after the event

It's an unfortanute subject because it can go both ways. I wouldn't mind getting an autograph through e-mail from someone I'm a fan of if I can save postage to the US. However, there are plenty of people that abuse this system and as a result miss out on receiving an autograph from someone they actually know and like.

I feel bad for the guy. The poor guy had to back into the email auto section and edit all his email autographs he got back, so no one would bother, no one would "cry", and it wouldn't get spammed.
That's why me, him and others have stopped posting things here. I have gottan many new things via email including Marshall Faulk, King James, and an autographed hat. But I can't post them here because of the 100 people who pm me.
Unfortunately, an email autograph community can't exist. It can survive only in a small community maybe 0-15 members. Unfortunately, here it can't exist.

look at maple19, Mike shares ALL his information and NEVER asks for anything in return, if everyone was like him this would be the most fun website in the world. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I mean really because of Mike I have had a lot more successes, not just through email, but he answers all my questions too about home addresses, spring training, and so forth. Another person who makes this a great place is indyreds. He also helps people for nothing in return. He showed me kristine lily's email address for free, because i am a big soccer fan/player.Thank you both for helping me out, and I wish I could do something for you in return

no one is forcing them to sign an autograph they do it out of the good of their heart,they don't have to sign every request, they do it because they either want to, or they want to be nice, i think that you just don't want to have other people get their autographs thats what it sounds like to me, but i could be wrong

Well, I am torn. You are obviously free to post whatever you want. Honestly it is nice that you are all willing to share. I admire that fact, I truly do. But, I also see that there is a fatal fallacy in posting and sharing personal email addresses on a public forum where the potential visitors to the site is unlimited. Most email addresses are not set up for fanmail/requests, but many times they are willing to accommodate an occasional fan request. Posting the address only leads to increased requests, which in turn leads to decreased successes due to frustration from the people receiving the emails. There may be another Kevin Martin success or two, but after that, I am sure the address will dry. History shows that to be true. Has anyone seen a fred McGriff success since the address was posted here?

Several past responses from people that were formerly willing to send out autographs have also indicated they do not appreciate having their email posted on public sites to be used for autograph purposes. I have even had people that have asked me not to share their email. This is where my main problem resides, not in sharing and helping, but in that most of these folks do not appreciate all the requests. (that is not speaking for all of them, but look at the list on this site, a ton of them don't work anymore. Ask yourself why?) Other sites I visit do not allow email addresses to be posted because of this fact. (They ask that all emails be shared in private pm's to mitigate the number of emails these people are receiving) Sadly blind ambition to get autographs does not allow many to see this fact.

I am not pointing fingers at anyone. I am not "Triumph the Insult Dog", trying to poop on you or anything like that. Like I said, I think you guys are great. This site is dope, and we all know that, and it only gets better when we work together. Sharing is caring, and all we need is love. I just think that posting email addresses (talking about any email, not just big names) is unfair to the senders. My personal belief (nothing sacred, just what I feel), if you really want someone to send you an auto, then you should be able to find an address for that person (physical or email), by googling for their official website or whatever pretty easily. (most of those emails on the front page come from official websites anyways) I am sure nothing will change here, and in the end I will still frequent the site, but I figured I would throw my two cents into the wishing well also.


I would put my personal email in here so you could personally bash me in writing if you wanted, but I would find that to be too ironic, so PM if you think I am a jack as*, and you don't feel like posting in the forum.

Craan, valid point on diminished returns. I also wanted to point out that I would eliminate any snail mail or email address that I was ever asked to take down by the owner of the address. This is/was the only point I was trying to make. Nothing against posting addresses, but it's those e-mailing these people. Often "fans" don't even know who the person is, and e-mail for an autograph anyways.

Right on man. We can run circles around this topic all day long, but in the end it is what it is and we all just do what we gotta do. I don't want to beat a dead horse any longer, I just want to bang on the jungle drums of autograph ecstasy. You dig?

PS, the Gretzky I got from email is not an autopen. I am sure of that. I know he is not a great signer, but I guess you get lucky sometimes.

Exactly right. People might send emails to stars just because they are stars not because they are fans. Also I think people like email autos because they are risk free. You never spend a cent besides your internet bills.

hopefully you can trust people though not to just send to everyone there, especially if they copy paste and do that for every single one, i have sent to maybe about 10 at most on the site, I have heard of all of them. And I have gotten about 6 or 7 back

Got mine today. I can't believe they send these out via priority mail. I cringe any time I have to send anything that way. I said in my email that I would gladly send a sase for the photo, but they paid 5 bucks to send it anyway. It definitely is an awesome photo.

i just looked at mine- definately not a preprint, I can see ink lines on the photo. could be an autopen, but not a preprint

not true, we know they are signed by somebody...we dont know if Martin signed, or if his agent signed them, or the ballboy signed them, etc... but its definately signed by someone.

lol get real...i've gotten him IP and how do you expect somebody to sign them EXACTLY like K-Mart's signature 10 billion times over...only the real Kevin Martin can do that.

no need for attitude- im simply saying that, since we didnt see him sign them, and there is no COA, we dont really know that he signed them, although I will agree that it doesnt make sense for him to have an agent or something like that sign them for him- but it is possible

I can not believe that the KMart debate is still going on! I would assume that if they were going to cut corners and not have the photos actually signed by him that they would use a stamp or autopen. They do all look a little different and I still am shocked that they pay so much to ship these photos to us fans! Let's all wish him some luck in the playoffs! There are so very few good autographing active players in the NBA and it is great when a star does something like this! I am happy that I was able to get his autograph and yes it is in an photo album with all sorts on other guys who may or may not have signed a photo for me! To me that item is a very nice addition to my collection.

Yeah but they will probably get Blake Griffin next year so I don't think they will be terrible as this season but they are in the Western COnference, so I don't think they will make it to the playoffs
